Sad News ... Blues Tradition & The Story Of The Blues were two the first books on Blues I ever got my hands on ....

Tradition gives great insight into the blues lyrics...
The chapter Blue Blues took up a large part of the book and
to read the lyrics to such songs as Lucille Bogan's Shave 'Em Dry was pretty wild back in those days......

Story Of The Blues ... explained the blues styles and was loaded
with many rare photos of the different blues artists ....many we
were seeing for the first time ........ Story was like a Blues Bible in those days .....
