I just heard the new song Charmed Life by Mick Jagger on the radio. Sounds like a great song. The new album is due out Oct 1st. It should be available on the new by Warner, but I haven't found the link yet.

I thought most thought it was a bad joke, especially the video. But I should probably listen to it again (and again)

Seriously? I think its frighteningly bad and one of the worst things he's ever put his name to... (and before anyone asks, I can usually appreciate his solo work OK)

It makes 'Lets work' sound like 'Jumpin Jack Flash'.

King Snake, I haven't heared it yet on the radio. I've been at home, at the university or at the sportscentre. And at work and in a couple of bars. What now? Do I need to worry?

How is it that BV is just hearing this? Gazza, watch this go to the top of the charts! So many really seem to dislike it here, that may bode well with the masses, the ones who buy Britney. I happen to think it is not that bad and the really good material on the cd will outweight the bad; it may just be a commercial success. Frankly, I'd love to see that happen! There's so much REAL crap on the Rolling Stone top 50 and Billboard charts these days that it would be fantastic to see Mick beat out some of that garbage!

Where can I hear it?

I have been on tour for two years and then trying to find out how real life is, only to find another tour, but I think real life is great. May be this song has been out for ages but I did not go out there. Still nobody have any links yet to the song?

It was on youtube, but it was taken down. There is a snippet of Junior Vazquez's remix in very poor quality, but that's it. The version on the album is Ashley Beadle's remix. Based on Beadle's remix of "Rain Fall Down," I suspect I would prefer "Charmed Life" if Rick Rubin's original production had been left alone. Still, it's hardly "Sweet Thing" and I'm with Gazza that it may very well be the most embarrassing moment in Mick's entire career.

Question for BV...should we still expect an all new solo album from Mick in the next six months or so or is the greatest hits CD the only thing in the pipeline?

Mick does not have time for any new solo studio album. He will be on tour during the spring, and there have been talks about more recordings in his "chateau" with a well known pal of his, a guitar player who use to play in Open G. I think this have been very informal, but don't be surprised if they come up with something brand new next year.

Originally Mick and Keith did not like Satisfaction - the song. Having a quick listen is not always the right way to grow into a song. When I got Black & Blue - the album - I thought it was weired, but now I do love each and every song on it.

Exciting news!

I gather any recording would happen after the rumoured mini-tour?

Still have a hard time believing that will even happen but hope I am wrong.

BV, my AMAZON auto shipment tracking claims I will be recieving the DELUXE EDITION (with DVD) on 21st of September (just checked again now, ordered it a few days ago) so if you order it through AMAZON USA today (or through a US friend) you can get the DELUXE version before 1st of October probably. The Standard verion (CD only) is still set for 1/10 release. Only heard CHARMED LIFE once on YouTube with Video and was not too crazy about it. I think the mix was part of the problem, maybe it's better on the CD or DVD. BTW, how about more photo's of your travels on the tour? Those were great - really enjoyed the shots and the stories. "Cherry, Oh Baby" is their first great reggae performance. Unless you hate reggae, I can only think its Mick's orgasm that makes anyone actually hate the song.

No, I like Reggae - BABYLON BY BUS and all that. It's just that it - Cherry Oh Baby - sounds like a bootleg - unfinished IMHO... I think CRACKIN' UP (Love You Live) is much better Stones Reggae, that and HEY NEGRITA, love that one.... LUXURY is pretty good also IMO.....

Sorry - I have to correct this as I know English is not your first language. You should say "I've been FOLLOWING the tour". To say you are "on tour" implies that you are in the band.
