Yup, I concur. He was great in 1989 and sucked at that show 17 years later. But, you know, 17 years .... Stones1, bet you're not the man you were 17 years ago either.

Yes You have right, but that`s very very sad... I remeber when i was watching BTB Wanna Hold You again and again...and now? How was Bigger Bang Wanna Hold ? Very sad.. He really can`t play? Or he don`t wanna play?

I repeat what I have been said.
Keith doesnt manage the rocker no more, not in the Stones context.

I say its 100% depending that he is made stepped aside.
This man has to exercise some control to show his best in rock songs.

... we are blessed to witness the Rolling Stones performing the timeless music they created.
the same Stones, all these years later. and right: time waits for no one,
so you run along now and do what you can to make the world a beautiful place.

if you manage to create even one percent of the beauty and joy that the Stones have brought to this planet
you will be doing way way better than anyone could expect.

I know he isn't playing as well as he used to but I can't criticize him.Maybe he has health troubles maybe is age or something else.I love so much that guy that I am sad when these threads pop up even if they are right some times .

I'll give you a hint: he was 46 in 1989 and he was 63 in 2006. Does it ring a bell?

He was really on top of his game at the second London show...not so much the third night though....

I`m just worried about Keith, cause He was always my real idol.. and he is still. And always will. I was in Hamburg 2007, the show was great, but Keith wasn`t that Keith that I remember from Berlin 2006, from Prague 2002.. or from DVD`s..

I'm I right by saying, since the "accident with the coconut tree", Keith can no longer sing and play the guitar at the same time?

I don't mean strum a chord here and there, but play it like he use to and sing?

63 years of age shoudn`t be any problem. It must be the coconut tree or all the booze and narcotics.

here are the reason:
he wasnt happy
the booze
the attitude

i think he'd do it better if he wants to be a real rocknroller again
he wasnt doing his best , im sure his attitude will be normal after a few months break , maybe 1 year or 2.
it also happens to me when im bored sitting in my room with nothing else to do and start to play the guitar , i try to play some songs i always play perfect but my riffs arent ok , and my solos come lazy , and i almost sleep.and im 13 years old , hes 50 older than me , and if you see the good shows , the age doesnt mean anything , is the attitude , you must get hot and be wild to play.
let him take a break for some months , and youll see he'll be motivated again.
he didnt feel it on these days , if you can wait for him and accept him as he was , he'll do it for us again , the age is not a bad factor for him

These are two records with quite different quality of the sound, the second one`s quality is much lower.

Anyway, you cant generalize only having seen those two records.

I saw Keith in Belgrade this year and he looked so young, vigorous and energetic! And he performed perfectly that night, inspiring the 80 000 fans, making them completely crazy and spell bound, so all your talks about him "getting old" are just bullshit.

This thread and poly-dozens of others mainly reflects the
death-fright and age-neurosises of the users of this board.

Lucky for me I'm only gettin' younger & younger for every day.

What´s wrong with a bit of death-frightwinking smiley Anyway, I think all our old, beloved and sometimes declining rock stars are a cruel reminder that everything has an end. Can be tough to accept when you´re in a certain mood...

Keef will always be my hero anyhow. Thats why I'm here.
Jagger and the others aint too bad either.

Just wish people would give them a rest now after all this touring.

For egoistic reasons (too), I hope the US gigs will be delayed till the fall.

Shit! You're 80? Sorry... 40? 30? 20? 100? 10?

Re: Time waits for no one sad smiley

The main difference with Keith nowadays is that he has more off-nights than he used to.

Keith in Nijmegen and Keith in Oslo were almost two different persons (judging from the clips in Nijmegen, and from FOS in Oslo).

The guy who played knife-sharp licks on Bitch and Monkey Man in Oslo stood like a corps on the intro of Happy in Nijmegen...

Maybe it's this simple: Alcohol and medicine-cocktails. Some nights he just doesn't give a damn if that cocktail affects him this way? Just a theory...

I think that is quite true. Still, when Keith's having a good day at work he can really be on FIRE.
