yeah - i think this was fairly widely discussed/dissected a couple of years ago on this board. the saying is as old as the hills - not exactly an original thought/idea for a song title

next you're going to tell me that Beast of Bottle isn't an original thought!
Heartbreaker has used as a song title about 50 times in one way or another. Don't think Mick cares if Poison used this popular saying as a title of one of their songs..
This should go in the shows you are embarassed to admit thread. But I saw Poison live when I was a kid.

At least the official name of the song is "Doo Doo Doo..." (I don't know how many off the top of my head) - at least that's original.
I have always thought that when bands start using cliches as their song titles and choruses, it's a sign they're losing it - like the Grateful Dead's "When Push Comes to Shove", one of their "newer" ones.
But that's not something all not-native-english speakers would/should know... ...but still you are right of course. At least, I believe you... And thanks for the Euro's! They've arrived long ago but I forgot to reply.

As a fellow Dead fan I hear what you are saying. This is how I feel with the Stones Rock n a Hard place and Mixed Emotions. About the Heartbreaker comment, seems like that name has been used by a bunch of bands, Zeppelin and Pat Benatar. There are a few newer poppy songs with this same title. Happy the Stones called their song Doo Doo Doo Doo as Mick introduced it in 1973.
