Re: OT: The Stewart/Faces songs we love

Wow, this thread has had staying power, eh? I'm happy to see so much appreciation for Faces and Rod's solo work.
A few weeks ago, I went to the Museum of Television & Radio in Los Angeles (OK, technically it's in Bevery Hills) and watched an old Midnight Special featuring Faces and Keith playing guitar on several songs. The performance was good, but it was the post-Ronnie Lane lineup and Faces had evolved into a band that was dominated by Rod's personality. Rod was dressed in a shiny yellow outfit and was really hamming it up. The camera kept zooming in on Rod's butt.
I'd love to see a Faces performance with Rod's ego turned down a few notches.
I know that there is a DVD out there of Faces in concert. Maybe it's the same performance I watched. Think it was from 1975. It included an interview segment with Wolfman Jack and Rod.
During the show, I found myself developing a little crush on Ian MacLagan. Maybe that was a reaction to the camera forcing Rod's butt into my face.
There is a Museum of Television & Radio in New York, too. It's a fun way to catch up on televised music performances. On the same visit, I watched a couple of Stones performances on Hullabaloo and Shindig.
