It's no fake, they are real. I was there when they were to be sold at the poster stands but then they were withdrawn..... (Glad I got one, looks very nice) Susan
Wonder how much a promotional poster from the Shanghai gig would go for...after the show I went around and the venu and scooped up three from the walls...all in pristine condition.
clearly based on The Book Of Kells or some other early Celtic/Christian manuscript. can't see whty it would be withdrawn, unless rather than being inspired by that type of work in general it's based on a specific copyrighted piece. even than kinda late in the day for that revelation. strange one.
Whitem8 I would be interested in trading you for a Shanghai poster, I was too slow to get one :-( It was an awesome experience for sure.
I am not a believer in the Irish poster I am afraid, I too was there and didn't see them. They were certainly not an advertising poster for the gig. The Isle of White is different, that wasn't a Stones gig but a festival. I recon some enterprising Irishman knocked them up. Still a VERY, VERY nice poster! I will get to the bottom of their origin for sure, for now I will reserve judgement.
