The Enemy a knockout at Stones' gig Sep 3 2007
TEACHER Kay Hanger from Coventry was in the audience at London's O 2 Arena to see city band The Enemy support the legendary Rolling Stones.
The city band recently shot to number one in the charts with their debut album, We'll Live And Die In These Towns, becoming the first Coventry artists ever to reach the top spot.
Kay, aged 48, of Fir Tree Avenue, Tile Hill, who says she has been a Stones fan "forever," responded to our appeal for readers who had managed to secure tickets for the concert to contact us.
She said: "The Enemy were absolutely brilliant. I had heard about them from my daughter, Katy, but had never seen them in action before.
"They opened the concert and were on stage for about half-an-hour.
"I took lots of pictures of them and the Stones with my digital camera, but I didn't get them together as the two bands were never on stage at the same time.
"The Enemy were excellent and I might go and see them with my daughter when they are performing in Coventry."
Kay, who teaches at Coventry's Parkgate Junior School, went to the concert with her husband, Pete, and friends Roger Bond and Pauline Smith, who live in Tile Hill Lane.
Kay added: "The Stones were superb too. I hadn't seen them live before and wanted to go to the concert as it could be their last tour together.
"Their music is just as great as it ever was and they still move around on stage like they did when they were young."

I did really enjoy The Enemy as well, and took this photo as a souvenir. Great band, just the three of them, guitar, bass and drums, great sound.
