maybe that's to attract the younger fans. like singing with justin timberlake and christina aguilera.

yes, pretty bizarre song and video - a little less ego would be nice.

I think the video is meant to be tacky/ironic, in the manner of the "Some Girls" cover. But the song still sucks, IMO. Your mileage may vary.

you nailed it. i never liked LETS WORK....probably because
i had higher hopes when i was anticipating the release of
Prim Cool.

i really don't mind his dance club music.....but obviously i prefer
his bluesy rock stuff more.

IORR............but I like it!

Its nothing like either of those songs (I think 'Sex Drive' is crap, for what its worth)

Sweepingly dismissing the criticism as simply because it's Mick solo is nonsensical. Some of Mick's solo work I happen to like. I'm sure others will say the same.

This is just simply hideous, trite and instantly forgettable.

The song is a disgrace, but I'm quite sure the video is just something assembled by a fan smiling smiley
Look at it - it's too bad. I don't believe for a second this video is official.

I still have hope that Jagger or the Stones will work with Rick Rubin despite their diferences in the past. This Charmed Life is not worth to be on any Jagger compilation. Look at all works that Rubin was involved ...they are just great

I prefer "Let's Work" to "Charmed Life" and I never liked that song to start with. Hopefully, the cut with The Red Devils will sound better than the boots and "Too Many Cooks" won't be butchered.

It`s just more of the same. But it`s catchy I guess, and it sounds nice, so why not?

If it sounded nice, I wouldn't see any problem with it.....but it's truely horrible

I was so horrified by the song I took a sharp knife from the kitchen and removed my testicles.

I actually felt better after that than I did after having watched that video.

Well said, Gazza. Rhino should put that quote in Billboard.

I think it's the ego thing that's really turning me off about this song. "Here I am with the paparazzi, look at my big fancy car, me meeting Prince Charles, etc".

Yes, yes, Mick. A charmed life indeed. But some of us poor sods have to go to work now.

On the other hand, if the lyrics were "I cutting my balls off" (imagine the video!), we might feel differently.

I actually think Mick cut off his balls before he decided to release that song and video...(even if I still think the video is fake)

"The version on Very Best is remixed by producer Ashley Beadle"

This tells it all. Again a dance/rocksong butchered by a remixer.
I like the arrangement, the bass, but their are no guitars.

It should've stayed a rocksong with more guitars!
This version does not even come close to the Wandering Spirit sound!
