Yeah Lukester, that Evis guy is real good. LOL..............But seriously,he actually talked to the audience when you saw him? I don't remember him looking at the audience when I saw him......I mean he wasn't terrible, but he wasn't great. But like I said. Watching the Detectives was pretty much worth it by itself.

I actually like most of Mick's solo stuff...but "Charmed Life" is definitely a weak track. I see no reason to blame th'Iraq or South Africa for it though; it's Mick choice to put it out.

>>You guys all miss the point! Mick has done this for HIMSELF! He doesnt give a rats ass if you like it,<<

ah well, who cares what I write - but I did it myself!

>>He writes very cool story lines in his songs. You can be critical and make points that have sme reason attached but to just say it's all junk is purely stupid ...<<

He does indeed write cool lyrics and songs, but not ALL songs!
If you watch the promo, Riffbuck posted, the best songs get mixed with the worst Mick's ever done and it waters down his whole career, at least in the compressed promo.

>>...and it really makes me wonder where the Stones fans are. Can you consider yourself a Rolling Stones fan and bash the shit out of the lead singer?<<

Yes, I'm a Rolling Stones Fan and I have every right to bash the lead singer when he does a crappy wacko jacko duett or goes off dancing in the streets.

there's no Keith who'd say; I could have stood you up!

It makes you wonder if Mick even had anything to do with it. Or just told somebody,go ahead and put together a video.

Thanks for the great advise Lukester - I'll keep that in mind (both seating and choice of date).

WMiller, now Sweet Charmer says Elvis wasn't personable (spelled correctly this time) when he saw him in San Francisco in May.....I guess he's hit or miss like Dylan...Try to get tickets early so you can get close enough. I enjoy watching his facial expressions while he sings....that's half the fun of it. Good luck.

The facial expression thing your right about Luke. Guy has more faces than eve..........hopefully somebody will get that joke........And again seriously,I would go see a Dylan,Elvis show. But it looks like they're playing mostly college campuses in the east and south.

I must agree with mickschix that y'all are being a bit harsh! 'Charmed' is just a dance tune, that's all, yeah it's redundant, kinda 80's sounding, but jeez! I wouldn't say it's awful. I thought it was a fine tune for the vid. I am actually quite looking forward to this release, especially the videos. Yeah, Mick's done some very cheesy solo stuff, but there's good stuff out there too!

It seems Mick has lost touch with real Stones fans again, he's still chasing after the MTV crowd.
This song is laughable, and the video makes him look like an egomaniac.
Is this the future we have to look forward to? Sir Mick rubbing shoulders with the "elite"?
Charmed Life looks and sounds like a scene from a bad comedy film.
I was hoping for something more substantial from Mick, like a decent song for once.
I guess I was wrong.

I'm not going to say anything negative. I thought Wandering Spirit was brilliant through and through. I will say this, "It's better than the video for Let's Work."

Okay, this is an outtake from "Wandering Spririt." Rhino Records is releasing a Mick Jagger greatest hits collection (and you, too, may be wondering what hits) on October 1. Here is what's said about "Charmed Life":

- "Charmed Life", recorded while Jagger was working on Wandering Spirit with producer Rick Rubin. Jagger had sketched it out (with his daughter Karis on backing vocals), but then decided the track didn't fit with the rest of the album. The version on Very Best is remixed by producer Ashley Beadle.

I can't believe this crap. The music videos for Dancing in the Streets and Lets Work are among the worst ever created in the music industry. This looks HORRIBLE. Oh oh... Charmed Life is a piece of shit track. I would never release crap like that. That song wont appeal to Stones fans, wont appeal to "Jagger fans", and it certainly wont appeal to the hipster club-hoping crowd. Is there some market I'm missing? Some niche of society that would actually find these clips worth watching?

(Sorry for being so negative. I'm not in a bad mood or trying to be hateful or anything, I just think this sucks and is among one of the worst decisions Jagger could do at this point in his career. Shit like this getting released makes marketing Shine A Light harder...)

yes Britney is a bit 'not at the right place' here. But isn't it a Mick's sarcasm ??
I consider this video as a funny peace.

Charmed life sounds like a 'she's the boss' album song, 80's song and however it seems to be one recently done, if I am correct (the extract of the recording of it in the clip could be from the last MJ solo). Just a repetitive riff and repetitive lyrics. But don't forget this is an unreleased song, not choosen for the record. I am not surprised it is weak.
And we will listen it properly with the cd (a deluxe edition for me of course). On the trailer it does sound better than on the clip.

For HIMSELF? So the record will be given away for free?

I understand Mick. Charmed life has karis on backing vocals. So he wants to release the song that was not convenient for WS (Rubin were absolutely right - this is the way a producer should do).

You are hypocrites, all you Undercover and Miss You lovers! You would have praised Let's Work as modern and now pre-order Charmed Life with Keith on guitar.

Yes, you can be a fan and bash the shit out of this...I'm sure all our Parents have bashed the shit out of us during our lifetime for doing stupid shit!
