I'm sorry but I can't really get excited over a list of songs. IOW had a couple of great surprises - Love In Vain, Aint Too Proud to Beg, CYHMK and was in a different setting too. But the London O2 no. 2 gig was far better performance wise.

Last year, Twicks 1 had the best set list on paper. However, Twicks 2 had by far the better performance and was a better show for that reason. So it really is irrelevant what the set list is.

Would love to have seen 'em in Werchter.

Lyon setlist's was just great.

What do you find so special about Werchter?

Been there and to me it wasn't that good.
Neither musically nor setlistwise (for a touropener!)

I find other dates more interesting although I had hoped for more for 07 Europe.

I'm going for Werchter and Frankfurt! Sweet Virginia was incredibly beautiful...

Great Setlist in Madrid with She's So Cold, All Down The Line, Monkey Man, You Can't Always Get What You Want (first time played in this Europe Summer tour 2007), Sway and Night Time Is The Right Time .

assuming one could actually tell the songs apart, i'd say frankfurt had a damn fine setlist!

"I'm sorry but I can't really get excited over a list of songs."

So you wouldn't be excited if the Stones said they are going to play Exile start to finish?

well, they also said they'd play a lot material from ABB!

thus, if they "said" they'd play exile, i wouldn't be excited! seeing/hearing is believing!

Been meaning to do this a long time - compare the setlists from Horsens and Copenhagen, both Denmark.

It turns out that both sets featured 19 songs with 7 different from one show to the other. Not too bad, I should think?

The best concert for me was the one in Copenhagen, not due to the setlist, but due to the fact that I did not have a tired 11-year old as a companion this time around.

Plus we were standing against the fence around the b-scene - quite an amazing experience all of sudden having the boys only 1½ metres away. A first for me!

And I feel saturated - cannot understand why people would want to go to 100+ concerts with the same band - but that's just me ;-)

PS: Only afterwards did I realize that the thread read "Summer 2007" so I could not pick Horsens anyways *lol*

Don't forget that Toots & The Maytals was so much better as warm up band than Maximo Park in Horsens

Weeeellll....I don't know about that, as I arrived at the Horsens concert after the warm-up band ;-)

But Toots was ok and not too intimidated. I'll never forget Robert Cray standing in one corner of the huge stage - sounding and looking really overwhelmed.

Besides which, I really, really, really wanted to see Van Morrison in Copenhagen. Was any reason ever given for his non-appearance? He blew out a whole series of warm-up gigs.

i'm wondering if he's a little weird. he left the stones show early in oakland last fall after opening up. he was supposed to come on stage for a guest duet with mick.

He's always been VERY weird, very paranoid and grouchy - but I was just wandering if some official reason had been given? Sickness, working on new album - or he just suddenly remembered the rain in??? *lol*
