I noticed L.A. Venue TBA, maybe Bruce realized after 2 engagements at the Staples Center, that the sound there sucks big time! Does this mean the forum (which he hates), the hollywood bowl, the LA Sports Arena (is it still standing?) or maybe Glenhelen (God I hope not).
I would not see him at Staples again (unless I could be guaranteed he would do Jungleland)

According to a post I read on a Springsteen forum, a ticket broker is saying its the Staples (which he expressed dissatisfaction with on the night he opened it in 1999)

Still unconfirmed though

Yes the LA Sports Arena is still standing but it is rarely used. He hates the Forum too? Guess that might explain why he always played the Sports Arena even when the Forum was the preferred venue.

Has anyone checked the schedule for the Arrowhead Pond?

Got on at exactly 9.00 and the best I could get was two seats (Row D) just past halfway back in the North Block. Anybody out there know of anyone who got any better?

Where are they all going to?

Luckily I got mine sorted last week through a mate who's a journalist. Otherwise -not a prayer. And I had windows open on both ticketmaster,.co.uk and ticketmaster.ie

Huge fuss over here with it the frustration being the subject of radio phone ins and the main story in the national paper tonight (we're obviously hard up for news now that no one's getting shot or blown up any more...)

Where are they going to? Well...the guy I got them from doesnt work for the promoter, for ticketmaster, for the venue or the entertainment industry. He's a sports journalist. And he got TEN. Christ knows what the 'real' insiders got. It worked to my advantage but the system is still ludicrous.

Good to hear you're coming over, Logie. First pint is on me!

I'll hold you to that Gazza!

But your first job is to sort out a pub for Liverpool v Man Utd at 12.00.

We had no chance to get tickets when they were on sale the night before on Ebay. bigpop-tickets being able to sell 6 tickets and rjm2908 being able to able to sell 10. The general sale was limiting people to 4 per person. Questions need answered by Ticketmaster. There is no way that 10,000 tickets sold out in 7mins. There is only 23 Ticketmaster outlets in Ulster and Cool Discs in Foyle Street Derry had only 16 for sale. Its a disgrace.

LOL!!!

Nothing could be more extraordinary than old Harvey announcing that he has the true fans' interests at heart.

Thats the same day? Piece of piss. Every pub in Belfast will be showing that. About 80% of football fans over here follow one or other of those two anyway.

Of course its gonna be a LZ announcement, i'm sure the ticket prices will be EXTRAORDINARY. They may as well play on the moon as far as getting to see them is concerend. i'm looking foward to seeing how much EBAY will reach, espeically if its just a one off gig, or announced as a one off, with the "WOW IT WAS SO MUCH FUB WE AHD TO KEEP DOING IT" announcemnet in the new year.

I think theres 100 in all of Ireland. However, you could buy them on ticketmaster Uk as well as ticketmaster,ie . I'd read the night before the onsale date on one of the Bruce forums that apparently half the tickets had already been siphoned off and people who were at the venue box office at 8 pm the night before didnt get tickets. Unbelievable in many ways but not surprising the way things work over here.

managed to get lucky with some connections but tried online for friends and by about 9.03 there was nothing available. Stay tuned to TM for ticket drops. They had one for the 02 this afternoon apparently but theyd gone by the time Id heard about it.

new album's very good. A real grower after a few listens. It's very radio friendly too and the songs will work very well live.

Have you heard the new album yet or just the 30 second samples that are on a couple sites? What I've heard sounds great. I plan to buy the LP on Sept 25, then get the CD on Oct 2.

I never really got into Springsteen. I read somewhere he ruined rock-n-roll. Is he any good? I'm only familiar with the songs that get radioplay.

It's quite the opposite. He brought some salvation back to rock n roll in the 70s when a lot of it was just turning real bland. The guy's the most amazing performer I've ever seen live. He delivers everything live that a hard core rock music fan would want: 3 hour plus concerts that feature music with rock, soul, country and folk styles, radically different setlists from night to night including digging out obscure album tracks and bsides, he's been playing roughly 150 different songs on his past several tours including tour debuts up until the final show of the tour, good interaction with the audiences, songs filled with great lyrics and melodies and an endless amount of energy and enthusiasm every night.

Someone at my sister's work place managed to get 4 from a friend of his who works for Cocoa Cola. He was offered 10 tickets but just took the 4 he needed. Makes me sick to think of all these connections getting as many tickets as they like, most of them will take their allocation for financial gain. Its not a fair game at all.

A few years back I was trying for football tiks for Ireland V Holland in dubiln (world cup qualifier decider) my contact was a former player ( and future assistant manager) an no luck. my mates brother in law worked for AIB (irish bank) and had 10.

As Gazza said if a sports writer can get 10, how manyare going to people in the music biz and the corporate end. thats the way its going. but hey HArvey has the fans interest at heart.

Of course i have taken advantage of contact in the past and will again if i get a chance, but some people ripp the arse out of it and take the piss.

Some really SHITE behind the stage just appearing on e-bay. Mrs Phleghm allways had a soft spot for Bruces bum since the back in the USA cover, but i dont think even seh would want to stare at it ( or Mighty Max's rear) for 2-3hrs !!!!!!!!!!!

Well, they just changed the on-sale date for the Oakland show to Mon. Sept.17. It was Sat. the 15th. Now it's going to make it even harder to get tickets. Now I have to try and convince my boss that seeing The Boss is a good enough reason to be on the internet when I'm supposed to be working.

Belfast is out for me no luck the other day in the TM sale surprise surprise.

Standing tickets on ebay seem to be sitting at around £300+ for a pair.

I am going to Paris one way or another. Missed the opening of the sales, and ended up waaaayyyyyy up high. But at least I have two tickets, and I can try to upgrade later.

I bought tickets for the LA sports arena when he was touring behind Lucky Town, and ended up with two tickets first row behind the stage. I decided I didn't want to look at Bruce's behind for 3+ hours, so I went to sell them at a ticket broker (before the internet). I ended up with double what I paid for em, plus the guy gave me two 10th row center tickets to see Ringo Starr that night! Kind of insulting to Ringo, don't you think?

Sorry to hear that... (:

I'm sure there'll be ticket drops, though. London had one on Friday (didnt know about it until after it had ended before anyone asks..)
