SOLD OUT my arse, don't fall for this Ticketmaster bullshit. The Police at Twickenham Stadium have been ostensibly SOLD OUT for bloody months, and yet I was offered 4 adjacent seats in the 9th row of block A4 (dead centre front of stage) late last night. It'll be the same with Springsteen, you'll be offered nothing you wanna buy tomorrow when the public sale starts - that's virtually guaranteed. Don't be fooled into thinking that's because it sold out in 15 minutes. Check back in late November or early December, and lo and behold there'll be tickets, you can pretty much count on it.

I'm gonna have a crack at gettting reasonable lower tiers tomorrow morning. If I don't get anything within say the first 10-15 minutes, I'll take no further interest until perhaps 2 weeks before the show on 19th December, and I have every confidence I'll end up with cracking seats. I just don't go with this ALL SOLD OUT bollocks 15 minutes into the average public sale these days. Been f***ed about by Ticketmaster too many times now to fall for that crock once again !!

Hi Nanker and PW,

You're absolutely on-the-money with that...TM has been rumbled!

Hope to see you at The Pilot Inn come Bruce-time!

Cheers,

Si.

From experience, even sold out Bruce shows have ticket drops nearer the date of the gig anyway

There ya go ... and that's from a Bruce expert - at least I THINK you're a Bruce expert Gazza. I know you've seen him countless times, so hence I'm attributing the "expert" title to you with respect to scoring tickets for his shows.

I've just managed to score two for Belfast despite them not going on sale til next week. Was hoping to get promised a few more but my contact had been promised twn standing tickets and I couldnt really rip the arse out of it. At least it means I dont have a big sweat on next Thursday, although I'll try and get extras anyway.

Absolutely thrilled more than words can possibly convey that they're playing here. A lift was certainly required after the post-Stones tour gloom started to hit!

I'd go but I'm not real excited about the Set-list.

i'm going with the "late drop" theory. i'll give it a go first thing tomorrow but not gonna get ina state over it. so annoying though to have had two blk 106 and lose them .

TM page for London

Worth noting that the link for the 'Thames Clipper' service to the show is for 20/12/07 and not 19/12/07.

Either a typo or they've inadvertently told us that there will be an additional show added on that date very soon.

After looking at the new Springsteen CD cover, I think they should change the title from "MAGIC" to "Photoshop Magic"

How is it that tickets go on sale for Europe before the U.S. Even though the american shows are first. Something does'nt smell right.

Yeah I also wondered about that. But german sellers eventim and/or getgo (same company) are serious and germans biggest ticket-agency, as far as I know. I also ordered my tickets for cologne and mannheim and got confirmation for both via e-mails. But you are right, at least this is very astonishing, but I wouldn`t say something doesn`t smell right.

First ticket sales this morning in Paris through the concert organizer.
It was a pain in the a.. as usual to access the web site for the Paris gig (Bercy) on Dec. 17, but I managed...

Official sales through all regular networks (Fnac, Ticketnet, Virgin, Francebillet) are starting on Friday Sept.7.

Springsteen and E Street Band of course.

It is not normal for a whole Hotel to be fully booked this early in advance unless there is something else on that weekend ?.

It's because this past weekend was a 3 day holiday weekend, where many people are out of town or preparing to send their kids back to school. They wisely did not want to put the tickets on sale then and instead will begin sales for the US shows beginning this upcoming weekend.

Just wondering how you knew . Do you happen to know which one? (e-mail me if you dont wish to post it here).. I know that the crew stayed at Malmaison when here last November, although Bruce just flew up from Dublin for the gig and then on to the US immediately after to be home for Thanksgiving.

Gazza you have mail...

Quite shocked when it was showing fully booked for 14th to 16th.

The Malmaison you mention looks OK and it has CD player in the room nice.

Unless you have any better suggestions ( Power Shower, 24hr room service a big plus ) will be flying into and out of City Airport .

Not Jurys please Vbad experience with them in the past anyway they are also full on the 15th.

Thanks...Surprising choice of hotel as we have about four or five 5-star hotels and that one is (as far as I know) a 4-star. That said, they do get a lot of big names staying there so its possible...then again, it could be a block booking for a travel package (Badlands, etc) .

Cant comment on what the hotels are like to stay in - as I live there, I've no reason to stay in a hotel..LOL

George Best City Airport is literally a 5 minute drive from the venue. Hope to see you at some point that weekend. Good luck tomorrow with tickets.
