Will there be any surprises? Anyone care to hazard a guess?

I think there will be a few surprises, remember that Vancouver had Bonnie show up onstage, and then Keith did 3 songs, so you never know. If I had to guess:

1. JJF to open
2. Monkey Man tonight instead of CYHMK/Rambler.
3. Something on the acoustics - Wild Horses? As Tears Go By??
4. A different one from Keith to replace Wanna Hold You.

Surprise guests?

Bill and Mick T ain't gonna happen. Prince is a longshot, but certainly a possibility.

20 songs tonight maybe?

I predict that it will be business as usual...normal ABB set and they will dig out a semi-surprise like Its All Over Now, Waiting On A Friend, Let It Bleed, Sweet Viginia or Get Off Of My Cloud and people on this board will praise them in the sky for it. maybe they will be even adventurous by their standarts and deliver Im Free, Loving Cup or Faraway Eyes, who knows! besides that, it will be the best show in years (or ever) and with standarts like Satisfaction or Flash praised as "definitely nailed tonight" or even "reinvented". and when the dust settles, it will be "just" a good show, like so many before.

hope I am wrong this time, hope it for everyone whos able to be there!!!

yes, it will be the best-show ever. no doubt. and you won't be able to weigh in on that debate if you weren't there. because the recordings lie. oh, and because this isn't just a concert where music is paramount -it's a show and if you aren't there you miss out on all the non-musical content which the recordings can't capture. i've inherited all this wisdom by paying careful attention to the smart people on this board the past few days. my thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all you who have participated in enlightening me.

I think your right. After the first 2 shows I think it's pretty cleare their will be no setlist surprises. I'm sure it will be a good show, performed well. But no surprises.

maybe I am crazy but I dared to add some more songs to my orginal post above which now reads like this:

"normal ABB set and they will dig out a semi-surprise like Its All Over Now, Waiting On A Friend, Let It Bleed, Sweet Viginia or Get Off Of My Cloud and people on this board will praise them in the sky for it. maybe they will be even adventurous by their standarts and deliver Im Free, Loving Cup or Faraway Eyes, who knows!"

All it takes is 1,2 semi-rarely played songs and becomes a GREAT setlist. What happened to the theory that once they got back to cities that they have played often, they would shake up the setlist? Keith does'nt even change his set and it's only 2 songs.

This does indeed set a new standard - now the setlist whiners whine BEFORE the show is even played *lol*

Watch out next year as we shall whine about the 2008 tour that never was and if it was - what shitty setlists, Keef now officially dead, but this time with a full beard - continue the list at will *lol*

there are rules to this???? whining is an artform and it should never be questioned or tampered with.....

It's not whining. It's fact....Having said that,I hope everybody going to the show tonight has a good time and enjoys whatever they play.

From what I can see it is a growing artform - constantly new things to moan and gripe about.

It used to be people who weren't there, complaining about concerts they never saw.

Now it's developed into whining beforehand about shows you're not going to go to or tours that will never happen or whatever takes your fancy *lol*

Today's catchphrase: ""Whine before you know. This way at least, you get to moan and groan" (If nothing else....)

It's going to be difficult. Somebody earlier wrote that the show Thursday was the best he ever saw but was instantly corrected by someone not there????? I mean - I could have understood the comment from someone actually present, but this???

Ya gotta larfff!!

text from Gazza, who is at the Rattlesnake inn:
"Apparently Wyman is here!"

Gazza: "Wyman told someone he's playing on a couple of songs later. Just saw Keith's daughter, Angela, and Charlie's daughter too.

whatever it means - but it's perfect for speculation.
go speculate smiling smiley

It's gonna be "business as usual" IMHO..... Jagger is very good at blocking feelings so if there's even any thought within the band that this is the last tour Mick's not gonna let on to the Stones worldwide audience... in fact he'll probably scream out "See ya next year" as his last on stage line. I'll be really shocked if they do ANYTHING unusual (besides thanking the crew) - not even one extra or rare - ish song.... Stiff Upper Lip AS USUAL...... Will the IORR Viewer User/Guests record numbers be broken today during the show? That MIGHT happen, that's my prediction....

Wyman is playing or just watching???

Let me add a bit of a whine:

Wish I was THERE with the fine lot of you for
this last show!

IF "OUR BILL" is backstage or somewhere in the 02 .. no problem but IF he's on stage for one or more songs THATS THE END ..
