What a wonderful show. Maybe things were different from the 21st, but I saw NO empty seats - and I left my rose-tinted specs at home
. I'm sure there were some dotted around, but you'd have to spend your time nit-picking to find them.
There is little to add to what has already been said, but I'd repeat that you had to be there. For all of you who have heard songs hundreds of times, you may feel that it was a boring set-list when you saw it written down. TOO BAD!! It worked perfectly and the band were a pleasure to watch. After all the doom and gloom posted on here it was a relief to realise that the report of their demise as the greatest rock and roll band ever is premature - ok it's not premature, it's just plain wrong.
The seating in the venue is not great. It's the first time we've been to a concert with seats and it's very different. On the plus side, it's great not to have to get there hours early, guard a viewpoint and then have someone 6'4" arrive and stand in front. We could arrive when it suited. But an audience with seats doesn't seem to know quite what to do. All our section (except for us!) sat down for Shine a Light and at other points too. Shame really, but at least we weren't asked/told to sit down by anyone behind... And few of them (again apart from us) seemed to be dancing like idiots.
I'm looking forward to Sunday so much, can't wait to see it all again. Then it's time to save up for the next time
