There must be a mistake somewhere - the headline of the chart reads: "World Top 50 Albums chart is based on albums sales of the world."

It must be "A Bigger Bang" as the rest of the entries are also albums (Bon Jove "Lost Highway", Amy Winehouse "Back to Black")

The figures show the sales for that particular week for that particular record. Hence in the week from 30.07.2007 to 05.08.2007 the Rolling Stones sold 27.200 copies of ABB (only 1.900 copies fewer than Libertad by Velvet Revolver in it's fifth week)

That it is a new entry can only mean that it has been out of the charts for a time. (Or that the sales of this DVD has been so spectacular that it has broken the album chart?? But it does say albums!!) ;-)

That number is not correct.

The number is for last week sales and it seems possible:
- The DVD is #15 in U.S (about 2-4k copies sold maybe)
- #1 in Germany but album sales are dreadful there this year, maybe it sold 10-15k copies
- #2 in UK, about 3-5k copies sold
- Good positions in all Europe but the DVD sales are not very high, the DVD debuted at #11 on the Eurochart Top Albums: [www.billboard.com]

The DVD has sold close to 80-100k wordwide counting the 6 weeks of unknown U.S sales.


Last year, Pink Floyd's PULSE debuted at #32 on the same chart with 40,000 copies sold (week 10.07.2006), had a simultaneous U.S/European/Japan release and was much more hyped than the Stones DVD.
