Who will be at slane Castle this time next week??

I for one will be, I have booked an extra night in the hotel, and will be arriving on the Friday night, to be on the safe side!

I will. Going home for one of my twice yearly visit to the parents in County Antrim - then taking them to see the Stones.

I'll still probably be on my way back to the bus in the dark this time next week....

First time in 25 years (since the last Stones show at Slane) that I'll get to go home the same night....

Gazza, is venue's capacity 60,000 or 80,000? Just curious, as i have seen both numbers on articles...

Me and 3 more - arriving ffriday morning leaving sunday night - hopefully a wonderfull weekend and the weather will be good - no rain.

Well seing as I live in Ireland and I'm a mad stones fan I won't be at home watching tv let's say that!! Myself and 14 friends will be in Gold Circle A can't wait for it!!!!!! Onto London then...

Theres a limit of 60,000 for this show, although it has held 80,000 in the past,

This is the first time theres been a seated area at the site

Sheduled some nice things, like the Guiness Factory and Croke Park Stadium

Oh and slane on saturday not to forget

Don't forget to check out the Jameson's whiskey distillery too!I can Highly recomend it!

it's just a museum now - the real one is down near cork - and even there the working distillery is not open to the public. gotta see bushmill's in the north if you want to see an actual distillery in operation. having said that, the old jameson tour in dublin is still fun....

BBs fave Irish towns:
Dublin, Cork, Wexford, Waterford & Westport.
Havent been to Galway neither Sligo nor Belfast.

Dublin & Waterford most must-seeable.

And I am not envious to those goin' to slane :OE .....

A comment about Guinness factory ("the biggest tourist attraction of Ireland"):

I have never waited for over an half hour - in a longer queue than to Vatican Museums - to have a pint of beer that will cost 14 Euros...

many of the local musicians that play there regularly are big stones fans. great outdoor courtyard in the back.

had a chance to see the guy - Mike - playing guitar (with stones t-shirt) at the bottom of that link celebrate his 50th about 3 years ago - fun night that was.

FOS Tickets for both Keith and Ronnies side on ebay this afternoon for £50 each.

How they are going to get them to you in time for the concert is another question entirely.

my next option is to go to the westfjords..
maybe that is more sensible

I've booked myself on the Dublin-Slane TM bus thing...is it the case that the last bus from Dublin to Slane is at 3pm?

Was hoping not to have to get muddy until nearer showtime-anybody got any info?

Sorry for the clueless post above...I was looking at the wrong bus company!

Just found this...

Dublin Bus will operate a return transfer service to the Rolling Stones event at Slane Castle on Saturday 18 August 2007.

Buses will operate from Parnell Square West every 20 minutes from 11:00 to 18:00 returning straight after the concert.
