Damn, this is a very powerful version of the song. It was made available on the "Hot Stuff" forum some time ago. I got it in Sept 2006. Didn't d/l the whole show. This must've been one of Urban Steel's uploads.
If he still has it available, I recommend d/l it. The sound is superb.

Hmm. I acquired the song through a boot called "The Vampire Strikes Back".
The quality is amazing, so maybe this was a leaked official recording. I can't say, so I'd be reluctant to post it publically. It's "iffy".

The Koln show was a television broadcast, that's why the sound is superior to most soundboard boots. My personal favorite of the MAIN OFFENDER tour is the Boston show from February 1993 which was broadcast on Japanese television. Highly recommended.
I LOVE the version of GS on 'Eileen' - played it after the Stones' Stipped OT version recently. Sara Dash, god bless her, does a great job on the Merry Clayton verse. And it's unhurried, building in power and intensity. Worth hunting down!

And that is some heavy smokin' rendition... Thus from Keef's 49th berfday.

It's the best version ever - or one of the best versions. The Gimme Shelter rocks more than a Stones version. Saw the show in T&C. Pretty great.
