Why is it almost impossible to get that on DVD? Have recorded the VHS to DVD, but I would like an official release of this concert.

I got it on video, but would love to have the quality a DVD can provide. Almost all the other videoes have been rereleased on dvd, so why not this one?

It was on DVD although I think it is hard to find now. I have it. Never cared for that show that much myself for some reason. Not sure why. Sound didn't seem right to me on the PPV, I kept buying boots of the show and finally the DVD thinking it would be better but it never was. Much prefered the VHS of Giants Stadium that was sold at the shows that I ordered through MTV of all people when they did their Stones special merchandise sale during the tour.

yes the Giants Stadium VHS that was sold at the shows was much better. Voodoo Lounge VHS/DVD was made from PPV broadcast which I did not like, Live With Me ruined by Sheryl Crow, Stop Breaking Down too slow-not grooving, and even Who Do You Love with Bo Diddley sounds bit chaotic in my ears. it was one of the slick PPV productions but somehow it failed to deliver real emotion and excitement.

5am here...can't sleep (might ramble).....i also prefer the Giants Stadium show...was this ever
released on dvd...i bought a poor quality (IMO) dvd-r from someone on ebay.
it constantly skipped and was depressing to watch. actually i bought several
different DVD-Rs from this person (same time)...same trouble with all....if you dared
to give her "negative feedback"...she'd rip you a new one.

anyway....re: officially released stones dvds....i think i have all of them
(including the miami voodoo show). seems like you should be able to find
the OFFICIAL releases for sale on ebay.

i bought that disk before i even owned a dvd player because i feared
that it may go out of print. bought it when i bought the B2B dvd.
didn't get a dvd player until 2000 i think.

Is the Giant Stadium show the one with the "devil-face cover"?

Agree with all of you saying the sound quality is poor on the Voodoo Lounge PPV-broadcast. But still...Have to have it!

yes. It was originally just sold at the concerts

personally I prefer the Miami one. I'm not that crazy about the guest performances but the acoustic mini-stage sequence is beautiful. Wish that they'd chosen to release more of the show rather than just a 95 minute edit.

Hey Neo I also bought the DVD before having a player for the same reason! In fact I remember buying Stones CD's before owning a cd player as well. Guess us Stones fans thought alot alike.
Also never saw the Giants Stadium on official dvd and no longer have a VHS player so I wish I could get that one on dvd. Shattered from that show sticks out in my mind, as well as Monkey Man.

havent played it in a year or two, but did basically like the VL video - sound mix isn't the best, and as usual the video is edited from the PPV which I have somewhere on tape...Thought Bo deserved his spot having gone back to '63 with the RS, of course w/ his own sense of time had to be watched closely (a la Hooker) by Ron & Keith, but what a terrific racket...
