Keith's fingers.
Posted by: audun-eg ()

I know that this may be a silly question, but does anyone know why Keith's fingers are so swollen? Especially his left finger... (I'm aware that this probably has been a topic before...)

do a search for Heberden's nodes and Bouchard's nodes
and you'll find more than you ever wanted to know about it.

here's a pretty thorough thread about it, if you read all of it: [www.iorr.org]

Don't take it too hard pal...people here are just tired of any talk about Keith Richards' weaknesses, although it's clear for most people, that he's in trouble with his playing these days...no matter what the reason are.
Hope he has one of his better days this sunday :-)

I hope too on wednesday! I'm really excited to see them again since I missed the opportunity the last time they were in Norway.

as a result of causes, this seems like the best thread to add these photos to -
since the subject keeps coming up, there might as well be a set of photos so anyone concerned
can ponder the evolution of Keith's fingers from (just for example) 1995 to 2005.

the thread i gave a link to above - [www.iorr.org] - has some more information and photos,
and Heberden's nodes is still the term to google if you want to know more, but the main points are:
a] yes it's evolved over time but this is something Keith's been living/playing with for many years already;
b] the nodes don't keep growing forever, and for most people are not non-stop painful; and
c] that's what a guitar hero looks like. all kinds of joy and blessings on Keith, for good.

Hey Open-G !

Thanx for your link!
I really like that version of "You got it made".

But, sorry, - I didn't really get it. Did you mix up various versions and/or add additional instruments for it?

Sounds great!!

Yeah CousinC,
I mixed a few tracks together - one is a guitar/s and keyboard track.
then there's a track where only Keith sings...
and then of course there's that 17 minutes take of the chorus attempts of Ron & Keith - I picked the right ones out (I hope) and placed them in the mix.

glad you like it.

Thank you for the fotos. I thought, it started around 1999-2002, but I know it better now.

His fingers actually look pretty good for his age and what he's put them through over the years... it's his liver and kidneys that should be of concern...
