as a result of causes, this seems like the best thread to add these photos to -
since the subject keeps coming up, there might as well be a set of photos so anyone concerned
can ponder the evolution of Keith's fingers from (just for example) 1995 to 2005.
the thread i gave a link to above - [www.iorr.org] - has some more information and photos,
and Heberden's nodes is still the term to google if you want to know more, but the main points are:
a] yes it's evolved over time but this is something Keith's been living/playing with for many years already;
b] the nodes don't keep growing forever, and for most people are not non-stop painful; and
c] that's what a guitar hero looks like. all kinds of joy and blessings on Keith, for good.
(where there's no photographer's name given, and/or if i got any of them wrong: i apologise)

You didn't do anything wrong. Those who weren't interested in the topic needn't have bothered to comment. And yet they did...Quote

Found this old thread again as I've been diagnosed with arthritis myself recently. Pretty odd not knowing what this was a couple of years ago to getting it myself. Luckily it's only one of my toes and one of my thumbs which is "infected" so far, so I don't have any problems playing my guitar. But I know bending those limbs isn't completely painless...
