If it's a small enough crack they might not notice it.

EVERYTHING IS BROKEN (Bob Dylan (oh, mercy))

Broken lines, broken strings,
Broken threads, broken springs,
Broken idols, broken heads,
People sleeping in broken beds.
Ain't no use jiving
Ain't no use joking
Everything is broken.

Broken bottles, broken plates,
Broken switches, broken gates,
Broken dishes, broken parts,
Streets are filled with broken hearts.
Broken words never meant to be spoken,
Everything is broken.

Bridge: Seem like every time you stop and turn around
Something else just hit the ground

Broken cutters, broken saws,
Broken buckles, broken laws,
Broken bodies, broken bones,
Broken voices on broken phones.
Take a deep breath, feel like you're chokin',
Everything is broken.

Bridge: Every time you leave and go off someplace
Things fall to pieces in my face

Broken hands on broken ploughs,
Broken treaties, broken vows,
Broken pipes, broken tools,
People bending broken rules.
Hound dog howling, bull frog croaking,
Everything is broken.

A damaged valve in my car's engine plays particularly nasty version of "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" any time I accelerate or go over 30 miles per hour.

The stereo cable from my computer to my sound system has a short in it and only plays the left channel. I've been hearing some interesting "alternate versions" of Stones stuff recently. Exile On Main Street left channel only is a pretty trippy experience. Note to self: go to Radio Shack on the way home and buy new cable.

My DVD player will still play store bought DVDs but has mysteriously lost the ability to play ones that were burned on a computer. I smell a conspiracy - I knew I never should have given the recording industry a spare key to my apartment.

The oven in my kitchen, which I'm proud to say I've never once used in the nine years I've been at my current residence (thank god for the microwave, restaraunts and the Chinese delivery guy) is beginning to exude a faint smell of gas. (Note to self - do not smoke in kitchen).

Too bad as I kind of like that oven, it functions as a giant paperweight/conversation peice. It looks like it was made in the '50s, I think Lucy once made Ricky a turkey pot pie on it. I'm going to call my landlord and demand that they send me a new one. I'm 37, as long as they give me something that works and was manufactured in my lifetime I'm good. Maybe something from the '80s that Ron Wood used to cook up some crack.

He couldn't "weave" a crack rock the way Ronnie can!

ahh
a musical reference of course
but it escaped my mainstreamed ears.

BTW...
I was just reading Dylan's lyrics
posted above. Made me want to hear the song. So without getting up...
for 99 cents, I downloaded it from iTunes, and listened to it as I read the lyrics again. How great and lazy is that?

Isn't the internet great? Instant gratification! Unless, of course, one wants to talk to a real human being face to face or something, but really, who the hell wants to do that? At least not too often, anyway! I need a break from the humans sometime, they are exhausting. Remember, skin to skin contact may cause infection.

Hmm, where was I? Oh yeah, Everything Is Broken is a great song, in fact the whole album is one of his best from the 80s-present. I recommend that you beg, borrow, steal and if absolutely necessary buy it as soon as possible.

Foot switch jack on my Fender Super 60 amp is bust....came back from the repair guy broken.

CD player on my computer doesn't play cd's properly

Oscar my cat has a thyroid problem and right now is costing me the earth. Still love him though.

The grille on my vocal mike keeps falling off.

When it rains and we've been getting a lot here in England the rear extension walls in my house get damp.

My Audi A3 has scratched alloys and a scratched rear bumper from hauling gear in and out.

The central heating in the house is playing up.

Apart from that nothing else is broken.....although my stomach is not feeling right after the curry I had last night;-)
