I thought that fans stopped invading the stage since steel wheels tour but I guess this was wrong.Any similar experience from the last tours?

There are stage runners on every tour. Boston during tour start. Manchester Licks and so on.

Yes, the one in Boston was playing the broom guitar for what seemed to be a long time before he was wrestled off. He actually looked pretty goood.

I remember going to the second Boston show asking bthe security people about bthe stagerunner. "He is still in jail" they said. Don't know that wss true actually. May be it is a big crime in the states, but in Europe it is not a major crime I think. But you will get a very rought treatment so I would not try it. You are tresspassing remember.

yea..this guy managed to stand right to Ronni during the final bow, when just the 4 Stones left ..he even put his arms on Ronnis shoulder..so, that for a short moment they bowd all together...I couldn´t stop laughing when seing this.
Ronni first did not realize what was going on...it took about 2-3 seconds till the security throwed him of the stage

According to a guy from french message board, the intruder drank the Keith Richards red cup near Charlie's drums !

At one of the Twickenham shows on the Licks tour there was a guy entertaining the crowd at the far end seating with an impression of Mick Jagger before the Stones came on stage. He was very funny and pretty good (pointing, pouting and strutting). He had everyone on their feet playing along with him. Drew loads of attention and was chased by security and the Police. He managed to evade them for a while and was able to continue with his act but was soon man-handled away out of sight. Pity really, as he was tons better than Starsailor (yawn).

That sort of reminds me of the story that some attendees at Knebworth in '76 have related about the guy (was he a roadie?) who climbed to a high vantage point on top of the stage before the Stones came on and proceeded to, er.... pleasure himself in front of 200,000 people.....

I'm sure it was better than 10cc....

In Barcelona last month there was also a stage runner. He tried to enter the stage through the catwalk but the security got him pretty quick.

Cheers,

There was a lady on the catwalk in Oakland in 02. She started near the B-stage and made it pretty far toward the main stage until JC and the crew got her. Mick seemed to have seen her but seemed comfortable that she wouldn't make it all the way.

My favorite is the cute girl who was actually helped to the stage in order to be taken to the side by a security guy during HTW, MSG, 1969....

Hey Rock'n'Roller I remember that guy from Twicks, yes he was good and yes I did find myself watching him rather than Starsailor!!

Not sure why security were after him though as he wasn't doing any harm

Also in BCN on the far left side a guy actually gave Mick an Argentinan flag that he took all the way to the other side. He didn't got to get on the stage but he got close enough. He got kicked out BTW.

Yeah, but did he produce 10cc though?
(That's why they were called 10cc isn't it?)

Youre quite correct, sir. The source of the name of the group "Lovin Spoonful" also has similar origins.

Yeah, I don't know why either. We reckoned Mick might have got wind of it and was a bit put out.

I think they should introduce Nude Running Stage (like Wimbleton)

Didn't it used to be mainly chicks?
Nicely handled by the stage hands...
And the crowd and band often seemed a bit amused.

The male intruders came later on
and were seen as a little more threatening.

Especially after Dec 9, 1980.

I justed looked at StratoGR's YouTube link (start Me Up)......Mick
seemed much more distracted afterward...than usual. It seemed to
affect his singing voice too.

Actually Mick was probably trying to determine who to fire.
You can hear Mick say "Hey, this isn't the NO SECURITY tour!!" (just kidding)

Suggestion: if you're going to jump on the stage with the Stones...wait
for the encore...this goof paid hundreds of dollars and saw 20 seconds of the show.

Start Me Up was near the end of the Rio 95 show - fourth from the last number.
