Yes he did play harmonica on Love Is Strong :-) Maybe it wasn't the best gig I've ever seen but for sure it was the one that I enjoyed more than any other of the shows I've been in 3 decades. They were so tight and pushin' - Keith almost very good, Ronnie as good as I've never seen him before live in concert...

excellent !

Great show in Brno yesterday evening! So much better than Budapest!! And we got 2 "new" songs on our Summer-Stones-Tour. I think we have to be satisfied!

Well, I didn't follow your link - and I'm glad about it!
that is the worst information we can get from RS.com.
They are never up to date with anything - but they like to spoil the night of the gig with giving away the setlist before the show has started!

How about RS.com announcing some release of the vaults - Jagger hasn't heared about?
Now, that would be fun....damnit!!!

Wow, interesting opinions. The gig was by far the worst I have seen on this tour. The crowd was lame beyond imagination and the Stones rushed through the songs.

Lorenz, as I wrote over there at RO - 2 hours isn't too bad, is it?

But it's really interesting - I had the time of my life yesterday and didn't care at all for the lame audience. I love the way they played and in my personal ranking this gig is on top, even better then Circus Krone or Rio 95.

To each it's own ;-)

man, what a show. living in vienna i could choose between budapest and brno, and i am glad i did brno. i really loved it right from the beginning, the setlist was nice (love is strong), the guitarsound was great, keith was great and the venue was nice cause being relativly small. i even liked the warhorses part, where usually i just stand back and watch the whole circus. satisfaction sounded different, maybe because the guitars where tuned low? but different, and great. sympathy i like also very much in this "reduced" way, the guitars starting late.

i am very happy i could see this show. cheers.

Cheers, Alexs!
You are absolutely right. Brno was so much better! And there was no desert heat! For me, standing in 3rd row FOS, people weren't that lame. At the front the audience was very loud and enthusiastic!

Why don't you quit going to the shows and listen to the bloody CDs at home? Lame crowd? Who cares! Stones rushed through the songs? I didn't have that impression.

Brno 22.07.07 & Warsaw 25.07.07

I had the impression they were enjoying themselfes. Had not the impression they were rushing through, rambler and crazy were all well extended...

Anybody taping in Warsaw? iFox?

and concerning the "lame crowd" - as I wrote, I didn't care. But it was exciting that such a bad (BAD!) gig like Budapest had such an enthusiastic crowd - compared to the Hungarians it was sleepy and smooth in the FOS-area yesterday. But that doesn't mean that the folks didn't enjoy the show as the spirit (at least where I was placed) was great and people had fun and treated each other with respect. And with the exception of a few danish people nobody was drunk ;-)

Re: Brno update

For me Budapest also is no comparison to Brno, but IMO in Budapest one of the main reasons for the problems was the incredibly unpleasant HEAT - it was too much and made me feel very groggy and lame,I had the feeling they wanted to get through the show as fast as possible - and so did I somehow, I just needed a cool place because my cardiovascular system started to be overstrained, and I was not standing in front of the stage for the first time, so I could not get cool showers from the water cannons...
Yesterday in BRNO the wheater and the crowd was wonderful, after Budapest I was happy for the cooler air and the few raindrops. The audience was definitely NOT lame at the point where we where standing (third row Ronnie side)!! Setlist change (FINALLY), and with the exception of the chaotic start of Brown Sugar great sound and nice guitars. Before driving to Brno from Vienna in the morning, I listened to the 2 "Exile on Main Street" LPs, and WOW, the live version of "All down the line" is sooooo much better than the studio version,a fact that applies to a lot of the songs anyway now.
Also I am glad there where "only" little over 30.000 people, 100.000 in lovely Brno would have been a logistic nightmare for everybody! And the venue was a lot better for sound than at the two stadiums where I have been at this show so far (Rome and Budapest)!I had a great time!
