The show was great.

But.

Ok, theres nothing really to discuss about keith and guitar-playing: they are no friends anymore, thats it, but its not a problem. (There were only 2 songs, where he played good: HTW and the riffing on the end of JJF.) You Got The Silver almost made me cry. Ronnie played fantastic there, and Keith really sung from his heart, at least it seemed like that.

Only 2 songs played very bad : 1. Satisfaction (Keith is unable to play the riff, wich is a joke)
2. Sympathy (simply boring, nothing happened, no guitarplaying, exept so called solos )

Charlie played a little drum solo during the introductions, that was funny.

And why the show was still great: Mick. He is the god of rockandroll, no doubt about it.

Couldn't agree more. If you'd spend your nights reading over and over again each and every of the set lists of the Euro-1970 tour you'd get bored too.

I was at the show (and finally I can say this after a long while) so I'll just say a few of my impressions.I'll maybe write a ful report a bit later.
Well first of all Mick was great!!I mean really great, singing perfectly, running around and keeping everything together. He talked a lot in hungarian but the crowd didn't respond that well, maybe hungarians don't get their own lingo?
Keith in my opinion was very, very good.He did mess up intro of RJ and a few other things but that was kind of interesting to me.At least you know it's a live show.
But Keith was THE guitarist yesterday 'cause Ronnie obviously had a bad night (or was drunk or stoned hm),he did a great solo on YCAGWYW and a few other good licks, but generally he wasn't himself last night (maybe because of the heat). Most of the time I didn't even hear him and Rambler was quite a dissapointment on his behalf, but then again Keith was great on that one,his guitar very loud and rocking. So don't believe all those stories of Keith sucking.
And Charlie ,just as Mick, was also......GREAT!!Oh yes,he and Daryll are really keepin' it together."The Beast of Budapest" as Mick introduced him played sharp and did a great improvisation in the middle of MR that I've never heard before.
Plus,he gave crowd unusually long greating in the end.
Highlight for me were-RJ,YCAGWYW,MR,I'll Go crazy,TD,and Keith's set.

I know a photo cant tell you everything but for me Keith seems to be looking healthier with each successive show at the minute.

It's no secret that for Keith playing on stage is the best remedy for any problems.

Hungarians don't get their own lingo? Look, I've studied Hungarian for a year now and it is for sure amongst the hardest languages ever. The phonetics are completely different from most other languages. Mick simply couldn't pronounce it properly - perhaps he had no time to rehearse it. It was simply not understandable what he said sometimes.

About Keith: At this point people have to realize the bitter truth - There are major screwups in most songs, the solos are lame. We all don't expect a perfect performance, but it is getting to a point were it is so obvious that it can really be hard to enjoy some songs. Without Ronnie it would be a disaster, no one can argue with me about that. There is times when Keith is suddenly really playing well again though, Midnight Rambler is one of those examples, he loves playing it. JJF is another example, Tumbling Dice too, etc.

can't agree with you more Stones_serb... I never tire of the warhorses myself and I have seen them a fair few times over the years, people shouldn't complain - some of them won't realise how great they are till its over, which I hope won't be for some years yet...

waitin' for 02 now...

"till the next time..."

First of all I'm happy that you, friends, had a great show in Budapest.
Yesss Keith looks better; it's the moustache gone and also the nice belly which dissapeared.
I remember reading some interview; Keith said: " I don't need to go to gym as Mick does, I carry a ten pounds guitar two hours every evening..."
I think this tour had a slow start but it's getting better and better ( please don't mention the setlist which is shorter )
So... Keith finally learned how to start " Brown Sugar"..good...
I still dream on the wonderful MR we had in Bucharest. And warhorses...
I'm not a fan of Satisfaction but I love to see 60 000 jumpin' up and singing along... And I love JJF, I could hear it a thousand times. You know... in a big crowd you will always have 90% of the people setted on fire by warhorses...

Seems like our beloved guitarists can´t play decent at the same time, according to the rapports so far. Wonder if they have some kind of agreement...

STOP HARRASSING KEITH!!!
I was at the show!
After Paris, ROme, and Budapest!!!
He is doing much better than Paris...
Hey Guys just go to the show for the Stones, to have Fun...and appreciate those old boys (still young!!) who always have fun to play in front of thousand people since 45 years!!!
If you are at the show only to give critics to Keith, just don't come back for the 100th times and stay with your all souvenir!!!
I am pretty pissed to always read the same sh****t! against him!
Yesterday he was great!
See you in London on the 21st!!

Yeah. It seems like people are getting bored seing the same show again and again and start looking for mistakes etc.
Mind you...I will only see them once this year, as I do on every tour (twice this tour coz they're returning to my country)...I think I would be bored, if I saw the same show 5-10-20 or 30 times, as some people do.

Didin't I read somewhere that Paris was Keith's best show ever?!? I'm really getting tired of reports from the same show saying he was good and another report saying he had taken a night off.

Darryl sings backing vocals? I never noticed this before. On what songs does he sing?

Well, Start Me Up was a great opener again - look at the crowd, they were really wild.
But Rough Justice already sounded better, didn't it? I really don't think Keith had a great night.

If that's healthy I hate to see what sick looks like. That is a man you don't want to see a close up of. Then he wears a sleeveless t-shirt. He looks like a walking skeleton.

Thank you Arizojp for the great pix. YOU are one of the best rock photogs in the world.

Thanks Stones Serb for all your comments.

"Satisfaction" may be considered a warhorse by some but I see it as THE rock anthem.

I just got back from Budapest. I hate all this Keith harrassing. In Budapest you could see that he was singing and playing from his heart, and that's more than enougf for me. I'll just say that the show was great, audience also even though it was +42C.
