Visited O2 last night to see Barbara Streisand

I was in BK407 Row H seats 619-620. The venue is very exciting, very easy to get to and out of by tube. Lots of food outlets and drink, both plentiful and not too expensive(well for this kind of event). The crowd, definitely older through and through than a Stones one, according to my 26 year old gf, were very ordely, getting to our seats felt easy etc. The upper tier feels vertiginious, and although Barbara was a pinprick, you felt very included, and involved. The show was not nearly powerful enough, BS never really pushes herself, and took a 2 breaks, HER actual singing time was probably 1 hour 10(guessing here), although she started around half 8 and went on to 10.45(she also had a good 20-25 min interval.
You can imagine with RS set, even the arena one it will feel very exciting in there, the sound for the orchestra was very good, as was her voice, although I felt she sounded a little muddy. Overall I should say (although slightly harder to tell as she is not a rock sound) the best 'sound' I have heard anywhere. The only thing was that I would have liked it to be much much louder. Would like to upload a photo but don't know how! Help....
Couldn't help but think how exciting Mick Jagger and his Rolling Stones could be in this venue!

>Barbara was a pinprick

the first 3 letters in that last word were superfluous

Nice one Gazza - you are really on form today.

Have you ever thought of stand-up comedy?

Lots of Streisand attendees interviewed on breakfast TV this morning about the high price of tickets - most said it was worth every penny but the main complaint was that she didn't sing Woman In Love (her only UK No. 1 I think - I'm not a Streisand fan so forgive my ignorance).

Arguments along the lines of "For that price we don't want to hear stuff we don't know - we want the hits."

In fairness, anyone who paid several hundred pounds for a concert ticket is hardly ever going to admit in public afterwards (and certainly never on TV) that it wasnt worth the money. It makes them look like a f**king idiot for paying so much money for it in the first place.

We should be used to that mentality by now.
