I've seen them 3 times with an arena and stadium show in Los Angeles and arena show in Anaheim. I had seen them previously in 1982 and 1983 so I had the memories of those shows to balance against what I saw this year.

The shows were very good, but in some ways some of my excitement in seeing them had disipated by the time the shows came around. I'm a big fan and have seen Sting on every solo tour he's done, so I think that may have been a reason for my lack of excitment because I've seen him play many of those Police songs dozens of times. It was great to hear some of the album tracks and songs that Sting doesn't do in his solo shows. Also it's the same setlist every night and unfortunately they have dropped Murder By Numbers and Spirits In The Material World from the show with nothing replacing them.

I may be in the minority here in that I'd have preferred hearing some new Police songs, even if they were without a new full album, maybe along the lines of what The Eagles did in 1994-96 on their Hell Freezes Over tour.

I really hope you have a good time, I was pretty disappointed about what seemed to be total lack of enthusiasm and charisma.....

Worth going though and will be interested to hear what you think.

Roger Waters concert I thought was much better.

I was at Live Earth in NJ and I thought they were an awful disapointment.(sic). I was worried that the songs would be "Stinged" up too much, and found instead it was Summers who streched and depleated the intensity of what I would expect. mabey it was that Waters was so good that made them a letdown, I dontknow. It just was'nt there for me.

Saw them a few weeks ago, the drummer was on fire, the other two seemed a bit bored.

I´m gonna see them on Sept. 11th in Hamburg.
Actually I´m doing my wife a favour.

I will be seeing them in Baltimore at Virgin Fest.
I've never seen them but have seen Sting sevearl times. From all the boots i've heard they sound all right, but some songs they have re-worked a little and was just a little disappointed in that. Wish they would put World is running down....
back in the set also Murder by numbers they were done on a couple of early shows but seemed to have dropped them.
Still very excited to see them

This year? NO - went to the 1983 Hamburg show (while traveling through Europe for 3 months) that show was enough for me... One trick pony band - the albums were fine but live just didn't work IMHO - Sting's voice starts to grind, same thing every song. Me and my friend got so bored we tried to pick up on some US military babes (I guess there's a base around there) no one had warned me that most of them are kinda psycho.... well, the one I picked out was..... what a STRANGE night....

I'm actually a little disappointed that it's a Police-only setlist. I wouldn't have minded hearing Police versions of a few of Sting's solo hits. Stewart always said he wished they'd stayed together for a few more albums. Sting solo hits given the Police treatment would have provided a taste of what might have been.

I'm getting bored by them after listening to the first 3rd of their best of CD, so don't expect me to go to a show.

Still, I would be happy to see a bootleg DVD of a show if there is one available on some tracker, just to be sure I won't miss anything (I don't really have doubts, but I often do that - especially with U2)

It was alright. Got my $22.50 worth at least. The guy behind me was yelling "Sing It Right!" People getting disappointed because they aren't getting what they thought they paid for can be more entertaining than the show itself!

I was glad they dropped 2 songs because I took public transportation home and if they did 2 more I might not have made my connection and would have got home an hour late.

What I still can´t believe (and found out in May) is
that Copeland is an American and Summers is older than Keith.

That's true. Andy was already 35 years old when he joined The Police in 1977.

No, they´re gettin' less & less visible.
A shame, cause they do have an impact on the crime rate.

Ebay. It's true, the market really does set the prices.

Wow. Good work on that. The face-value prices for the show I'm going to tonite are $59.50, $92.50, and $227.50. It's in a 20,000 seat arena and sold out months ago.

Won't see them before october.

And I am looking forward to, I've already seen them all individually, never as the police.

Great band it was. Doc: do yourself a favor: don't judge the police on the greatest hist cds: most the best trax are not there - I'm thinking of killers as Masoko Tanga, bring on the night, bed is too big without you, shadows in the rain, one world etc.

The rhythm section is one of the most exciting that ever stepped on stage.

I know that it is going to be a show in the Stones warehorse fashion, with the same arrangements of 1983, but I don't care!
