I have read many times here that thats the day the music dies. The Rolling Stones will never do another live show starting Aug. 27 2007. I've read it here, so it must be true. Many folks are counting on being at the last show.

Theres just one little detail missing:

Where did anyone get this information from? Where is the evidence of this? Have the Stones or someone representing them even hinted at this? If so, I missed it.

Reading the posts here lately, Keith is going to die soon, Bill Wyman's going to kick Mick's ass for kicking him in 1975, Ronnie is broke so he will starve to death.

Maybe Keith has to devote all his time to looking for his eye's. They are gone, you know.

Why do some people latch on to some lame-ass story and believe it hook, line and sinker?

I bet you my next paycheck that as soon as they announce the first show after Aug. 26, there will be a thread about how they lied and said they wouldn't tour anymore.

Not exactly. Reading the posts here Keith is going to die tomorrow, Ronnie is dead since 2003 and Charlie is not with the Stones anymore. Since 2003. Some posts here are really "creative"...

The Stones will tour again after August 26th 2007. Wasn't it Mick who said at the last ABB MSG show it "won't be their last time playing in the garden."

He said that on the HBO Licks show as I recall....

I remember in the mid 70's when Paul McCartney and wings finished their tour. First 2 shows sold out instantley but the 3rd (last of tour) had a bit of trouble. That's when the reunion rumers started "the Night of the big surprise", I guess the surprise was that there was no surprise.

I hope you're right jjflash73!! It breaks my heart to think that I'll never, ever, ever see The Stones perform live again. It's just too sad to even think about.
So I don't care when, but if The Boys come back to the States, I'll be there for sure.....no matter where in the States they may come.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed for another US tour!

My feeling is that they will never announce their last performance; it'll just happen and that'll be it.
In a way I hope I'm right.
