Well it was pretty well predicted that the eastern European shows would be very warhorse heavy. Now they've cut the show shorter as well. Yes it's a good opportunity for those fans to see the Stones.......But I sure hope when they swing back around and play in Scandanavia and espicially London, they will at least attempt a few rarities. The problem has been they will pull out something like Love in Vain,or No Expectations, tehn drop it after one show. Play it a few times,it might get better.

I think you may be right.

18 songs in 2hr 15 min

Unless it was the longest version of Rambler ever.

I got 24 songs in New York 1994. But who's counting? :-)

Why never trust the papers. Not to add that I don't understand a word of the local press article.

I don't know how you come up with these ideas that they cut a show short... They played "You Can't Always Get What You Want" back to back with "Midnight Rambler". Not the shortest songs in their set time wise. The show clocked in at 1 hour 55 minutes like most other shows.

Seems like a great show in beautifull surroundings. Sorry I did not go there... Lucky bast***s who did go; I'm happy for you.

Like they'll care.

We already know that a "conservative" setlist is probably on the cards for venues like Budva where most of the audience is unlikely ever to have seen them before. Those audiences want to hear the warhorses and I guess they are more concerned about pleasing the audience in attendance rather than those who sit and read setlists on their computer screen and complain. The audience in the photo don't look to me as if they're complaining.

Yeah you are probably right, but Ain't Too proud to Beg ain't exactly a Warhorse, and Midnight Rambler isn't either.

If they wanted to play it safe they could have replaced Ain't Too proud with Angie...

I love hearing Rambler live and would be mega happy if they did make it a warhorse.

Why the @#$%& do they play more combiantions of Miss You and IORR in cities like Barcelona, Madrid and Rome ?
Don't they have anything more spectacular ?

Looking at the audience protecting their ears, it must have been very noisy.

My friend was in Budva last night and he just texted me this:

"Mick was excellent, but Keith was as if he was dying after 5 minutes. Most of guitar variations were passed to Ronny. Keith almost fell twice. But, EXCELLENT overall."

Estimations on attendance vary between 20 (Croatian sources) and 70 K (Montenegrin sources). When I think twice, I could expect such bullshitting. It's a matter of folklore in this part of the world.

This last article says that sales were the weakest in Montenegro (expected) and highest in Albania (10,000) which is quite impossible.

"Estimations on attendance vary between 20 (Croatian sources) and 70 K (Montenegrin sources)."

So, 61' telecaster, we can conclude that the attendance was 45,000...

Croatian newspaper "Juarnji list" says 40K... Another newspaper says 50k...

WTF? How can two sources be 50,000 or 350% apart? Is it some kind of propaganda contest or something?

How can a concert be excellent if that´s the case? Sounds rather alarming to me. Anybody else who was there?

I called it bullshitting but it's bascicly the same thing.

A friend of mine who was there says 20-30 K but stones gave 100%. Jagger addressed crowd mostly in Serbian. Keith was kind of pale but still Keith. That would be the essence of 5 minutes conversation, he was still mesmerised by what he saw and heard.
