do you think charlie will take a little break and then do one of his jazz tours, i always catch charlie at the blue note in new york when he does a solo tour, great chance for autographs and a chance to run into keith in the hall way like i did in 92 and 01, just great

Never mind what Charlie is up to - he'll do something - but what about us?

What are we gonna do when this tour is over???
I see a big black hole....

yes me too, but this down time will give us a chance to save up for yet another world tour, and trust me it will happen, that is if they all stay healthy of course, the four stones i mean

Charlie's solo stuff has been consistently excellent and varied...Doubt he'd join the rhythm Kings. And he can do what he wants musically or otherwise without splitting from the Stones. Horses, Jazz, Rolling Stone, Cricket, Doggies, Charlie has all the cake he can eat.

I heard they're looking for a singer with big lips and a couple of scruffy guitar players who like a drink.

Charlie will take a little break and maybe do some jazzstuff while he waits for Mick and Keith to get ready to tour/record again, why? He's found out that working is the best way to stay alive after the cancer scare 2 years ago.

I think Charlie will get an license to ride his own horses in races all over the world. Touring is his life, no matter what he's doing.

Remember that interview from the Bridges tour where the cat
asked Charlie if he mows the lawn when he's at home and not touring..

"What me mow da lawn ...You got ta be kidding..!!!"

I like Charlie's interview on 25x5 where he describes 25 years in the band as "five years of work and twenty years of hanging around!"

It was odd the way they did that for "25 x 5". that interview was actually done for the BBC for a Stones special when Dirty Work came out in 1986 (it was filmed on the set of the "one Hit" videoshoot). David Hepworth of the BBC was interviewing him. The special actually ended up being broadcast under the title "Five Years Work - Twenty years Hanging Around". For some bizarre reason, when they used it for 25 x 5, they overdubbed a completely different question by some American interviewer and just left in that part of Charlie's reply.

Hey Edith Grove yeah you think the stones will ever get to New Orleans again?
I agree with what you said about what Charlie said in 25X5 interview. Yes it is cool. Later...

Thank you for that, Gazza! That was unknown to me until now.

I think they had every intention of playing the new arena here on 11 March, '06. Katrina derailed that plan.

Hopefully, they will include New Orleans in any future plans.

My Stones,
only a few letters missing...
let me translate?

"According to Charlie, being on tour is a lot better than sitting at home, being afraid to get cancer again. Your, he'll definitely tour. And we'll go and see him, won't we?!"

gstone, I know you meant it as a test, can we fill in the blanks? :-)
(man on the run?)

I fully agree with that. Best Medication is hanging around the globe with Keith and Charlie, from time to time. He got his goal, aside from his family.

If you think this, then you need an education in jazz appreciation.

Or maybe he is going to get a driving licens and take out the Jauguar for a spinn? I think he bought a Jag many years back as he liked the look of the dashboard.... Driving is nice, maybe he thinks that also and just start to cruise around.... I like cruising as well, just got myself a -57 Dodge Custom Royal D-500......
