Goog, good, jejejej, the concert was good, some parts excelent, some parts kind of embarrasing, but in the end, quite good.
By the way, it was the first time for my girlfriend, and she is amazed, well, there are things that only, you people, in this forum, could observe "in he heat of the action" , a beat missed in SWH, some verse misscued in Miss you, the keith´s "suurealistic" performance in happy, but believe me MM , TD, and JJF totally rocks.
One last thing, i never heard the guitars so loud in the mix. Sometimes the chords from keith came straight to your brain loud as hell ,that was good jejejeje.

Please remember most at the show are casual fans - this must have been their dream.

Maybe not so much for us die-hard fans and/or multi-time seeing the band.

Still, you're getting to see the Rolling Stones, apparently a lot better than a week or so ago. To me, each and every show that I've been to has been wonderful. None this summer. ):

Is suppose that having hear and see so many concerts, DVD, boot, lp, maybe make us, die-hard, too much exigent. Well thats the price for fantism.

Another little detail, i was reading a post about the ABB DVD set, and keith running, today he did it again, from one of the side platforms, guitar to a side, and let´s go... Darryl was looking at him like expecting watching keith´s head blown or something. Said that as soon as the man came to the drum set, started to riff like hell.

I´m getting to the conclussion that what i saw tonigt was 100% keith richards, excentric, genius, old man, riffmaster, a gimmick machine, a r´n´r machine...keith.

Time to sleep.

See you.

I sure missed something there. Happy, you Madrid.

He always did, but just imagine Mick w/o Keith and Charlie.

Sway was fantastic. But the crowd was totally silent during that song. Didn't know it that well. Generally the sound was perfect, best sound so far on this tour, crystal clear, also by the B-stage when they played there. Keith almost fell on his back when he went on his knees neaqr Ronnie as they did You Got The Silver, but he managed some miraculous way to run faster than ever backwads and catch his balance. Nothing wring with Keith indeed - I am not sure if I could do than myself on stage. Earlier on Mick - also joined in by Ronnie - had worked the crwod for 1-2 minutes, as they were singing oe - oeoeoe - following the great sing-a-long version of You Can't Always Get What You Want. The B-stage was wild and during Satisfaction everybody was jumping and dancing. Great great show indeed.

Well bv not TOTALLY Silent, i was singing my lungs out in Sway.
Ah, i saw a IORR t-shirt there, and i think i saw you bv, very early, about 17:00, but as with all the myths, i was very shy to say hello, jejejeje
Ok, i took a rest, woke up, time to go to do some BI work there...

Keep on rolling.

Nice setlist, really! Let's spend the night together, Monkey Man and Sway … I would've liked to hear Sway!
I think the setlists so far are a pretty good compromise, changing songs around in the first part and doing the warhorses in the second part, so there's something for everybody. Nothing wrong with that I think.

I saw him fall back once: Hamburg 98 on b-stage. There he
was drunk to the limit (there he already came drunken on stage)

Thanks Alvaro for the review!! By the way, what's so "sad" about Keith going backstage for a few seconds? I mean, he could have gone to take a piss! Give the guy a break, he's been rocking all night long and he's been proving his (many) bashers wrong since Paris on! GO Keef!!!

Re: Madrid show reports and comments

Having seen the trio of shows last week - Paris, Lyon and Barcelona - and found Keith to be on stunning form, not only in his guitar playing but also in his general demeanour at all three, it is a shame that any slight perceived 'imperfection' in his performance is jumped on and highlighted by some reviewers here.
Rock on Keith, we love ya!

The stadium field in Madrid seemed to be very packed.
The FOS areas seem to be pretty small. Is that the ordinary size or does it vary from venue to venue?

The setlist is not only a bore, it's a shame, too.
I really consider not to go to Hamburg if they will continue to play such unexciting oldie shows.
"Oldies but goldies" - I could puke.

Well, I've mixed emotions with this show...

First the support acts:

Loquillo: EXCELLENT

JET: HORRIBLE, a total disappointment

The show:

It was a good show, the first part was excellent, She's so cold, All down the line, Monkey Man (the highlight of the show), ycagwyw, Nigthtime (Lisa!!!!!), tumbling dice...

Ronnie was amazing, playing real well..., Mick superb, Charlie (like every night, perfect), Keith playing and no possing...

And then I don't know what happen, but Keith looks off, Happy was a disaster, and doesn't resurrected until Jumpin Jack Flash (which was GREAAATT)..

It was a very good show, but I'm a bit worried for Keith...

Re: Madrid show reports and comments
Date: June 29, 2007 12:15

Great show, mick was fantastisch, keith was really really bad at times. Loved him in paris but i was so disappointed with him now... BUT THEN paint it black started and that song, along with JJF and BS were ABSOLUTLY SMOKING due Keith. He can still do it.
