Hi, this was on June 28th, 2005 outside Ocean Way Studios in L.A. after the final night of mixing for A Bigger Bang. I purposely wore my Stones tshirt from Vredenburg, so I would not be confused with some of the professionals trying to get Keith to sign guitar scratch plates and so on.

The Stones were using 3 different studios to mix the album and a friend of mine discovered them at Henson Studio about 4-5 days before this photo was taken. We got Mick to sign for us from behind the fence there on 2 occasions, the first time of which I wore this same tshirt so Mick would know we were fans. He signed 3 each for me and my friend and a few days later he signed 1 more each for us. On this night pictured in the photo, my friend drove by Ocean Way and saw some cars, so he got out. He saw Mick walk out and hoped for a photo but he wa son his cell phone and just got into a car. He then called me up and I raced over there a little before Keith came out. Keith had a few of his guys come out before he did and they could see that we were ok and they told us that Keith may sign for us. Keith then came out and was as cool as could possibly be. He signed for us and we each got a photo with him.

One thing I remember well was how coherent he was when we talked to him. He was very sharp, not at all like the Keith you seen sometimes speaking in interviews. Notice also how he's dressed pretty much like a typical person, without any of his usual pirate styled clothing. It was a fantastic night that was then capped off by Don Was coming out after Keith left. We talked to him about the new album and he then went to his car. He then rolled down his window and asked if we wanted to hear something. He said "you're the first people in the world to hear this" and played us She Saw Me Coming which he they had just finished mixing that night and had burned onto a cd for him to play in his car.

Dosn't really look very cold, and you're wearing just a shirt...

I have a couple of pics from our outdoor gig in November. The whole band packed in winter clothes - they're so awful, I can't post 'em.

Yeah, I guess you're right, Rooster - I mean with that screen name...hehe.
but we did have a temperature drop from 15° to 0° C (with snow) so it was quite uncomfy.

cheers Rooster, thank ya.

So you had 0 degrees and snow - yes that's quite chilly.

Same with me, NWSooner. Have been to Phoenix twice; I like your city. Went to Wichita (from Toronto) in October 06 and did get "Sway"; sorry you didn't get it. Keith did an amazing job on that song in Wichita.

You know your city well Cindy. Indeed that is Fanueil Hall. That's where we spent most of the 4th of July. Drinking and eating, eating and drinking, drinking and well you get the idea..........As for my friends(I'm the one in the Stones shirt by the way) the lovely blonde doing nasty things with the rifle is my very good friend Janie and the other guy is my buddy Benny. Yes big fun was had by all. Sorry we could'nt get together Cindy. Maybe next time you can lift that restraining order and it will make things easier. But hey you still look hot even from 500 feet away..........As for them being Stones fans,no they are not. But will forgive them, since their nice people anyway and I can't vouch for whether Red was a Stones fan or not. Somehow I doubt it. But that T-Shirt I'm wearing is from the Fenway Park shows. A very Stones friendly town. Everywhere I went people kept saying what a great show it was. I just agreed with them rather than telling them I bought the shirt on the internet.........Anyway,thanks again for the help Button Your Lip. Much appreciated.........Now where is that picture of Lukester again. I don't think I've ever seen his mug.smiling smiley

My singer told me what the tatoo means, but that was many years ago - I forgot.

Marmalade, thanks so much for reminding me that they played SWAY in Wichita as I was so very close to making that trip! There was another Show I almost booked where they played Sway I think the Forum after a Vegas show,,,,anyway my budget only allows for so much. Anyway thanks for the reply....cheers!
