theres not a whole lot positivr to say-somethings missing- were now far enough into the tour to figure out that something isnt right- anyone who has followed this band for longer then 5 years would be able to tell that- the energy from the licks tour and the first part of the abb tour just isnt there anymore

Sure. I'm positive this is their only tour this year. I'm fairly positive this is also their last one as well, at least on such a grand scale. I'm positive that if they do any more live shows, it will only be just a few shows here and there, with a pay per view show among them that will allow them to reach the entire world all at once, as opposed to them going all over the place.

Yes but this is the case with the Stones. Their fans have never been yes-sayers. They have always had to prove themselves worthy the title TGRBITW over and over even if they are the greatest rock band in the world forever. Keeps them motivated. In 1977/78 they had to compete with punk and disco and they did. Same in the early 80s. Voodo lounge has a couple of gems but lacks the anger. It's not good for them to ride on a retro/nostalgia/good ol' Keith wave.

interesting comment lafourm...i also got the impression back in '72, as popular as they were, as huge as the ticket demand was at the garden, as much of a sellout it was...it was still a new york crowd...great people really ready to love them up and get right with it...but they, we...were listening...and not just gonna jump and scream and give it to them for free...and they knew it...
