Any one knows the release date in Europe ??

I think...

North America: 06-12-'07
Europe: 06-18-'07
Rest Of World: 06-24-'07

... but I don't know exactly.

It was weird. I asked about it at the music shop yesterday. They had no idea what I was talking about.

Would this be your local "Stereo Studio"?? We have that same shop in Aalborg and they never know nothing - but nothing!

I always make a point of bringing all the information available to the table - still they mostly just look at me kinda puzzled: "Stolen Bones"? New Band?"

Yep. It's Stereo Studio. They are always very slow. If you want something on the release date You gotta go to Fona or TP Musikmarked, both in Århus. I was ready to leave for Århus the day of the ABB release, but they had it and I got it 20 minutes before the shop opened.

The guys at Stereo Studio in Horsens is not THAT bad. They know a lot actually, but they are just slow as a slug.

There is ONE guy in Aalborg who knows anything - an old hippie, as it happens. Well, these days his hair and beard is trimmed but he knows his music.

Therefore he is often busy helping others so I usually get stuck with the Paris Hilton type. "Oh, like wow, do we sell music in here? Like, really, wow, don't know - will have to ask" would be the typical answer to anything exceeding Beyoncé.

Consequently I have moved most of my purchases to the net.

It's pretty clever to purchase online, but I get a great deal of satisfaction from going down and getting the album from the shop.

Yeah - I do too, actually. And preferably on the official release date.

When "ABB" was released on the fifth of September in Denmark I had to have my ex gf go get it for me as I wanted it on the date!! (I owed her bigtime after that).

But so many times I have been disappointed with Stereo-Studio (my local) that I have to weigh that up against the more impersonal feeling of recieving it through the mail

I.e. the latest Bob Dylan "MT" - SS did not get the special version (the one including also a DVD) until a year after. The same with the special edition of "ABB" - that was not in the shop in Aalborg until 2006.

So maybe next time the Stones put out a new CD - which I'm pretty certain they will - I might pre-order it on the internet instead.
