Nijmegen set lists and reports
Posted by: bv ()
Date: June 8, 2007 17:47

I arrived into Nijmegen Central at noon and checked out a map outside the station. Though it looked ok to walk to the hotel next to the venue but 2 1/2 hours later I felt almost like I did after walking "home" from Werchter earlier this week. My minibar is now soon empty (mostly water of course) and I will try to check out the venue. It is +42 in the shade on the sunny side. Probably more than 30 in the real shade. Just as hot as back home in Norway now.

Reports from the venue and show coming here soon!

In fact the reports are here:
[iorr.org]

But please read on through this thread as well. many many posts to come.

Unfortunately I couldn't go myself to the show.

My daughter stands 1st row Ron: because of the heat it was allowed to carry bottles with water, there are people refilling the water bottles and there are people with water buckets and great spoons to cool and refresh the audience.

I wish I would stand 1st row. I'm glad for her.

This is how the venue looks like from outside. The doors opened early today, don't know when, may be 4pm or earier.

Important! The major German TV station Westdeuthcher Rundfunk - WDR is here with three cars and a sattelite setup. Check out their TV broadcast and web site www.wdr.de !!!

I don't think they'll do Ventilator Blues. I believe it's in "According To The Rolling Stones" where Charlies says they rehearse before every tour but they never get it down to their liking. Always room for hope though...

No hope for Ventilator Blues in a stadium (maybe in London?). But I have to say the only live version of VB was not that mistaken (Vancouver 72 where they played much from Exile).
