Someone used the two words: "greatest" & "ballad" combined.

But I'd even more rather Sister Morphine.

Are there any more songs not performed in Europe but only in the US?? And the other way??

Has been Hot Stuff ever been performed in the US, for example???

So many questions for our Ulster's friend... (BTW, how do I say it: Ulsterish, Ulsterian??)

hot Stuff was played in Washinghton opening night of the Voodoo Lounge tour, before being quickly dropped. Great version too with a nice horn arrangement. they also did it at the El Mocambo in 1977

I think the recent fall tour was the first time theyd ever played Connection in the US

Theres quite a few songs that only ever got played on one tour down the years. They only toured in Europe behind GHS, likewise with Black and Blue. So, Silver Train, Dancing with Mr D, 100 Years Ago were never played anywhere but Europe. Hey Negrita too, I think. Chantilly Lace was an exclusive in Europe in 1982.

Lies was only ever played on the US tour in '78, Tops in '81, Fingerprint File in '75, One Hit in 1989, Moonlight Mile in '99, many others. Cant be arsed looking it up but I think Dance Little Sister was only ever played at the El Mocambo

I'd need to check to be certain but I've a feeling Undercover hasnt been played in Europe either, although it may have been on the South American leg in '95.

Also, theres lots of songs were only ever played once or twice, so thats another way of looking at it

I dont think there IS a word like Ulsterian or Ulsterish...we'd just say Northern Irish or Irish or whatever works... smiling smiley

Gazza, Dance Little Sister was done 2 times at least in 75 -no tapes to confirm it was 5 instead of 2,
Hot Stuff was done in Toronto 2002

Thanks, Gazza. I knew I could trust in getting a quick answer. In fact some of the songs are pretty obvious that I'm ashamed... (the ones on GHS, for example)...

Anyway, let's drink for the hard working Ulsterians, LOL! smiling smiley

Ulsterman/woman is the noun, so ... would Ulsterpersonal be the adjective?
"our Ulsterpersonal friend" has a nice ring - or Ulstermannish ... no b ... :E

Waiting On A Friend has been played twice on the ABB tour, once on Licks, and only a handfull times in 1997. Before that, only in 1981.
Angie, on the other hand, has been played to death. It's long overdue for a long rest.

Not to mention how overhyped it is! Sorry BabboonBro, just my opinion.

Pretty good Gaz but like Snowman said, DANCE LITTLE SISTER was played as part of the 1975 set list for awhile and then dropped - have a so so quality version of it (and LUXURY) on a Baton Rouge (opening night) boot from LSU, 1975....

A few more examples: Only US: Hound Dog (78), Sure The One You Need (75),Luxury (75), Mona (81). Only in Europe: Melody (97), Jump On Top Of Me (95), Melody (97), Brand New Car (97), Shame Shame Shame (97), Moon Is Up (97), Low Down (97), Key To The Highway (76), Down In The Bottom (95) ....and many more......
Question: who knows which hit single is never performed live?
