Hi

Can any tell me if the new DVD is multiregion?.
Can't find the info on the best buy website
I am going to the States in a couple of weeks,so would like to pick one up, but my DVD player is a region 2, so will need the discs to be multi region format.

i have a very strong feeling its only Region 1, seeing as they are releasing it in the states and canada (REGION 1) on june 12th, but releasing it mid-summer in europe (REGION 2) I bought my "lets spend the night together" dvd in paris, and its region 2 and am not able to play it in region 1 players, and vice-versa. Its weird how everythings still regioned nowadays, but you can always play dvds in computers no matter what region they're from.

Maybe you can set your dvd player region settings by some hack. what's the brand and modelnumber? Most players you can hack by the remote control unit, some by cd some just can't.

its a Toshiba SD 220E. I did look for a hack a while ago but never found one
