This is my vote:





A prize fighter who went one too many rounds but still he never lost his brillance right until the end. He was always cool and this version eclipses any other version out there especially the man who made the song famous in the first place! LONG LIVE THE KING (actually he's alive and well and living in Ireland)

Indeed, a very surreal performance only 2 months before he himself died. "The end is near..." how sad.

Hurt was up there when I started this for sure! Still remember where I was when I heard the news ROOM 514 Jury's Inn Dublin after seeing the Stones the night before for the second time in the point theatre! "You are somewhere else but I am still right here" God Speed Johnny you did good!

The charity TV broadcast of various musicians and singers raising money for 9/11 victims, aired live the week after that awful day.

I absolutely cried like a baby when Enrique Iglesias sang that song "I will be your hero"...
