Were these two shows filmed? Any chance we get to see any fottage from it in Shine A Light?

no, don't think so. But both shows were recorded multi-track. (and are rotting away in some basements..)

Nope. Not filmed as far as I'm aware.

Both shows were taped for Love You Live, but apparently only one of them (the second show) was usable.

Unless they have a secret hoard somewhere I would venture to say that the Stones are not the best care takers of their legacy. A pity that...

Well, thats too bad... Funny though, as it could have been the last Stones show in a long time!

But why? This is really making me sick. Their best show ever, a complete drama second only two Brians final year and death. And they played so good there.

look at it this way: the fact that it wasn't filmed is probably part of why they played so good.
Keith's gotten used to it by now, clearly, but he used to say that the best way
to get a substandard performance out of the Stones was to film them.
they only let one photographer (Ken Regan) into the El Mocambo -
they had other things than cameras to concentrate on.

And Charlie and Ron both have said that the actual gig there was uncomfortable and not really as much fun for them as it seemed.
