I think that Marc Ford has joined again. Saw them opening for the stones in Gijon, 1995. Their show wasn't a fast show, maybe because they didn't want to "steal" part of the stones show. The crowd didn't like the show. I liked it, but it was a wrong show for a stadium, very slow and with many minuts of guitar solos
i'm a HUGE fan of the Crowes. but they were appalling when they played with the Stones at Wembley. for two reasons
1. the sound was abysmal
2. they picked completely the wrong setlist. if you have 45 mins to impress / keep another bands crowd interested, don't start jamming out slow songs. kick em in the nuts with your classics
mind you. every other time i've seen them they've been dynamite. proper rock n roll

I was there also....I must agree. The Crowes walked through their set. They did not exert much of an effort.
Their website confirms the Werchter and Nijmegen shows per google. Its a subscription only site, can you copy and paste the whole quote? Appreciate the info.
