Make that everyone from this board that's going to the shows!

The pre-show get-together is one of the best things about it! We had some fantastic times last year in glasgow...

Look forward to meeting you, my NYC dude...!

Only the 21st - I've been booked (with friends) for the Greenbelt festival in Cheltenham over the Bank Holiday weekend since before the Stones' dates were announced, so it was great to be able to make even one of the 3 O2 concerts.

Should I book Sticky fingers ? Or perhaps the question should be ... should I arrange for the builders and decorators to come in to Sticky Fingers the following morning ?

Well, as I said in many a post before, our reputation by far exceeded our behaviour, so I don´t think any repairs will be necessary, but I would not swear on it. Maybe this time we will live up to the image...
BTW, will the Rollin´Stoned be playing in London this week?

A whole bunch of us regulars will be seeing them on 3rd June at the Half Moon in Putney (they play there every couple of months), so we'll ask them. Nothing scheduled for the month of August as yet though. Check their site out ....

Here's a thought. If there were enough people interested ... could we not book them for a private party ? I have absolutely no idea how much an established tribute band like that charges ... could always ask though ?

I sure do hope they´ll find a place and a spot to play during the Stonesgigs in august. They were brilliant!

The 100 club would be excellent!!! I´m sure there would be no problems filling that club. If you have the chance, could you check it out? Must be plenty of people here and on the other sites willing to attend such a gig. I´ll bring at least 20 people. Maybe a special guestlist?

Sure, no problem. They know people like Beast, myself, and others from innumerable gigs in London over the last 2-3 years. We usually end up chatting to one or more of the band after they've finished playing. Yeah, I'll ask. Why not ?

This would be no problem, as long as we get enough people together to pay for it.

They are actually doing a private party at the halfmoon on Saturday 2nd june, which is why they are doing the public show on the sunday night.

The halfmoon would be able to host the party in the music room. We'd have to pay a smallish fee to them to pay for the sound engineer and a person for the door. That would be around £125-ish plus a fee for the room. But the important thing is to get a guarantee for how many poeple will attend, because if the pub knows there will be a big crowd, then they know they will make lots of money on the alcohol sales and will be very happy to do it. But they will be a little reluctant to potentially lose out on a busy saturday nights trading in the music room if only about 50 people can attend. So the more people that attend, the less it would cost to hire the venue.

So we need to get a good crowd together, and also find out from the 'stoned how much they would want. They make approx. £2000 for a sell-out at the halfmoon, but i'm sure they'd do it for less.
