OT: Dylan's "Modern Times"

A buddy of mine gave me a copy of it, and I'm almost ashamed to admit this is the first time I've heard it.

No point in offering up yet another long-winded pseudo-intellectual review, but this is one of those albums that is perfect for any time of the day or night. That is something I cannot say for many other records. That's my review. (wink & smile)

Agreed - superb album. As well as the song writing, I love the simplicity of the arrangements, production and playing. It sounds live and not artificial, which is the best way to make music.

My first Dylan album. Album of the year 2006. Just finished downloading the concert in Amsterdam I went to a few weeks ago: Dylan's won a new soul...

The album is wonderful, great music and impressive singing. Bob dylan is a true poet, the only rockmusician whose lyrics I would read without his music. I think that he deserves the nobel price in litterature, I am not into so called popliterature, but Dylan's texts are more than that, they are something special. He describes love from so many different points of view.
