This is intersting. Had no idea how many people had Finnish as their native language. And very little native Anglos. My native is Italian.

I think the "native Anglos" aren't posting here because just speaking English is boring compared with all you speakers of exotic languages.

I'm busy wondering how well I would manage on a foreign language messageboard. Not half as well as most of you, I'm sure.

Norwegian. Southern part - "Sørlandsk", some claim it's very similar (more similar than other Norwegian dialects) to Danish.

Hi all.

Sure ChelseaDrugstore, is hard to learn, but I think there are many other languages very hard to learn as well.

Indeed, Basque is the oldest language spoken in Europe, oldest than, for example, Greek or Latin. It´s supposed to come from old Indoeuropean language and several experts say it can be originated or have some links with the Caucasic region, but nobody has found the real true theory.

All in all, is a different language from all the rest and only spoken in the Basque Country.

(Sorry about the explanation, not related with the r&r).

Hi all,

thank you very much for the link, button_your_lip.

I read the history of Minaberri family, a very classic basque inmigrants´history. Plenty of people in Basque Contry have and old cousin in somewhere of America, mainly in Chile, Venezuela, Argentina and also in California, Nevada, Idaho, Uruguay, Cuba and Mexico.
