Oh man... that's great. Chuck's reaction when the crowd takes over during the first line is priceless - I hope that cynical old bastard realizes how much people love him.

I've been to that club before, too - La Riviera in Madrid - and it's huge. I was there for some lame acts (don't ask) - but seeing that room packed out with a bunch of mad Spaniards going batshit for old Chuck warms the heart, for sure.

from the 70s...can't beat it. He's not the King of Rock and Roll...he's much more than that...he drew the damn blueprints of rock and roll.

Thanks for posting, that's brilliant stuff.

Reminds me of an old SNL skit from the Belushi/Ackroyd days, the premise was that a time capsule had been sent into outer space, a response received, and the reporter was opening the response. The time capsule contained great stuff from Earth, ie the Magna Carta, US Declaration of Independence, Chuck Berry tapes, etc, etc.

So then the reporter opens the response and reads it, and it says:

"Send more Chuck Berry"

Funnier to watch than me telling it, but there you are.
