wrong on both counts. the law was passed and SIGNED BY GEORGE W. BUSH in November, 2005.

you're a dope if you think otherwise. and no computers in the world change without the software to do so. if your computer changed yesterday it was because you accepted an OS patch update for that to happen (whether you realize it or not). all systems had to be reprogrammed as a result of this policy.
I wondered about the energy savings bit? My heater's thermostat isn't regulated by the clock, only by temperature I wish they'd leave it the heck alone. My body's clock is getting too old to be screwed over like this twice a year.
Nearly there Elmo. I think you're looking for the true start of Spring, May Day, and the olde worlde rhyme that goes with it:
First of May, first of May Outdoor *#%£ing starts today

StonesTod-Please explain to me how it is that a President PASSES a law??????

Defintely. In fact, maybe if we forward the clocks enough, maybe we can get 24 hrs daylight! lol How cool would that be--we could like our European friends and be the land of the midnight sun.

For all the chumps out there who never took a US govt class, [and all you from other parts of the globe who don't know this] Congress passes laws and the President can either sign them or veto them, and Congress can override the veto with a 2/3 majority. Same with spending money. Congress spends the money, not the PResident. And as for daylight saving time, if it is supposed to save energy, [the debate still out if it does] isn't that what all the leftists want? Save energy. Outlaw old-style light bulbs {which is what they want to do in California]. I don't mind if it saves energy. If it does, I'm all for it. It also makes better weather for baseball. Re: Fortune 400. Fortune 400? I thought it was Fortune 500. Or were you talking about a Nascar race. But what about the other thousands of business out there that may benifit? Never thought about them, did ya?

In days of yourn, we didnt have electric street lights. We had gas lights. And every morning someone on a horse-drawn carrige would come by and put the lights out.

In those days, they probably used Daylight Savings Time... to conserve all of their horses' energy.
Back then, it didnt matter what time it was. You went home after putting in an honest days work. It wasnt until the rail roads came in with their blasted schedules that people became pre-occupied with clocks and time.
