I would be unable to step into a gym were it not for the Stones and my headphones. They're the only thing that makes it possible for me to work off the holidays. This isn't even a complete list...
On the treadmill:
"You Can't Catch Me" "Little Queenie" "Had It With You" "Too Tight" "Hold On To Your Hat" "Bitch" "Turd On The Run" "Hip Shake" "It's All Over Now" "Rough Justice" "Around & Around" (live) "Let Me Down Slow" "Happy" "Terrifying" "Respectable"
stretching/lifting:
"Slave" "Emotional Rescue" "Lowdown" "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" "Rain Fall Down" "Send It To Me" "Just Want To Make Love To You" (live '98--"No Security" bonus) "Hey Negrita"
also:
Mick: "Wandering Spirit"
and Keith:
"Struggle" "Runnin' Too Deep" "You Don't Move Me" "Eileen" "Take It So Hard" "Too Rude" (live)

You know what I find an odd choice of stones songs to work out too,but works for me? Out of Tears. I downloaded this onto my Ipod and it just seems to come up a lot when I workout even on shuffle. But it just seems to work because of the intensity in mick's vocals. The lyrics. I don't know, somethin about being on the treadmill tryin to sweat out another mile and hearin, "I won't cry anymore because I'm out of tears" just gets the blood pumpin.
"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

You Reverend, must be in great shape. My hats off to ya!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Ran the NYC Marathon a couple of days after I went to the Beacon, but sadly, it seems that four months is ancient history when one has arrived at his mid-thirties. I guess realizing that is yet another reason to appreciate the Stones' stamina.
It's a day-by-day "Struggle." Thank God for my running partners...

those cartoons were creepy, didn't the lady in them have razer-sharp bazongs?
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
Well "Start Me Up" seems to be the official "get your but into gear" song since it is played at nearly every stadium/sports arena during sporting events.
The Ballys I go to actually plays classic rock on certain nights. It's not unusual to hear The Stones, Bowie, The Police etc.- but I was surprised when I heard them play "Don't Stop" a couple weeks ago since it's not exactly a high profile Stones song.
