After walking away from the courthouse this morning at 9.30 after the Dutch public defender lost his appeal case against my release from jail 37 days ago after practically spending the whole month of December, including X-Mass and New Year in five such facilities in Nice, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille (former Nazi concentration camp built for the French Jews presently still in use holding 1800 people), Amsterdam and Zwaag I was really happily appreciating the feelings Mick must have had when he wrote those lyrics: I'm Free To Do What I Want Any Ol'Time. I put it in text messages out to all my friends who were supporting me to keep my Freedom! Just thought I'd share a bit of personal joy with all of you out there. I'm no criminal by the way, just struggling with a bitchy woman who's kept my 3 kids away from me for the past 4 months now that she suddenly wants a divorce after being in my life for 30 years. We were in Vredenburg Utrecht together a few years ago sleeping outside all night to get her a ticket and I was the one who the police picked back then to control who was to get a ticket and who wasn't. This time the French police put two guns to my head when they pulled my from my brand-new Lexus at the airport Nice Cote-d'Azur. Sometimes they are on your side, sometimes they are about to kill you if you don't surrender yourself to them in two seconds flat. Anyway: I'm free!!! Until further notice when they will be dealing with my case for real.

So it really is a Happy Valentine's Day for me, but I'm not allowed to send my two girls (wife and 12-year-old daughter) a card though, otherwise they will lock me up immediately again the judge told me this morning. I will hold to get crazy demand. I was sooooo nervous going to the courthouse this morning fearinf to be put in jail after enjoying my freedom for the past 37 days since January 9th.

Yes ohnonotyouagain, I think I am, though I made a foolish move thinking that fathers have the same rights as mothers over their kids. She kept them from me and kept them from school staying with family and friends for several weeks making me worried to bits and then when I decided after her not allowing me to spend time with them for two months, I decided to return the favor and took them down south to France to spend a weeks holiday with them, she immediately phoned the police and had them hunt me down, because she said I was an abductor, kidnapper, hijacker, and ofcourse they believed the woman and filed an European arrest warrant against me and staged a major police operation. It felt like I ended up in one of the worst B-movies and it didn't even star Mick. Taking into account that we are still married and I officially do have the same rights as she has and I invited her to fly to Nice to come and spend holiday time with the four of us and to take time to talk over the issues and get them resolved to save our almost 20 year-marriage which she obviously felt different about. So she got me put in 5 jails for a total of 36 days and on the arrest warrant it said that my maximum sentence could be lifelong imprisonment which almost gave me a heart attack. Now my lawyer says it really only is a maximum of 15 years, so I'm allright! Made me feel a whole lot better. ;-)

Gave her and the kids everything over the past 20 years, she hasn't worked the past 15 years, because I worked for all 5. We lived in a 1.1 million dollar waterside home with two places to dock a boat right in our yard, etc. The (dirty) works! She now has a pilot boyfriend in Bahrain of all places, who she met over the Net, changed the locks on the house and put me on the street in the midst of winter without anywhere to go. It sure has been a cold cold winter, my feet's been dragging 'cross the ground!

Any Stones and Dylan loving women out there who are more trustworthy partners on the look-out for a reliable man with (first-time-offender) jailbird experience, who's presently no longer wearing his black-and-white striped-suit with a number? Don't hesitate!

hang in there vandefruits.....I have a real she-devil of an ex-wife......I think I know what you are going through....the kids will understand when they get older and they will never stop loving you....be sure to let them know you love them.....as best you can, anyway, given the difficult circumstances
