the photos are mugshots from july 1972 taken by the Warwick RI police when they arrested M, K, B Keys, and a few other from the stones entorage. The stones were scheduled to play in Boston but the plane was diverted to RI because of fog.THe stones were flying in from Canada and RI wasn't an international airport anyway the upshot is that the local police tried to put the stones thru a customs check- keith and mick et al started toying with the locals and supposedly hit a local policeman or photographer. THey were arrested but later in the night released- given a motorcade escort to Boston Garden for the concert which started at midnight. I love this story.

Keith was charged with assault (for hitting the photographer who was bothering them);
Mick was charged with obstructing an officer (for getting obstreperous over Keith's arrest).
Bobby Keys wasn't arrested (although he tried!); Stan Moore, Marshall Chess and Robert Frank
are the others who got rounded up. that story is the best part of Greenfiel's book STP.

I would love to know if i can get a picture from jail, I mean i had a DUI in California around 2003, and obviously they took pictures from me, I heard i can get those pictures paying of course, anyone knows about this?

Why would you want a memento of something you couldn't possibly be proud of?

These pictures were taken by the day I was born !
Don't know what time exactly, but if it is around 6 PM EST it may have happened simultaneously LOL

If anyone has got them in higher resolution, I'd love to put a hands on them

FYI- I got these photos when I bought my first stones boot in 1978 (Garden State '78). I bought the boot from a student at Univ of RI and he threw in copies of the mugshots for free. I don't know if there are other copies with better image quality. I could rescan these and photoshop them a bit but the initial quality lacks definition- don't think it would improve them much. The account of the incident in STP is great especially the account of the attempted customs check and the way the stones get thru it.

The boys were arrested @ T F Green Airport in Warwick RI . The mayor of Boston at the time was Kevin White . he " vouched " for the boys because he feared a riot would ensue at Boston Garden if they failed to show .. I think , if memory serves me right the show started just after midnight

I am not proud but I was shocked the cops stopped me, i was drunk, just drink three beers and after that and spend 8 hours in the jail, and some member of the police station making jokes about me, because I was European and didnt support the war in Irak, what a shame of people!!!
I was asking this because with that photo i can remember that freaky day I spent in that weird country called US.

Perhaps I misunderstood. If you were not DUI then you should not have been jailed, and if that is the case, you have my apology.

To answer your question from before, I would think you could contact the sheriff's office or police station where you were.

I'm only seeing one picture (the M/K mugshots) on that link at the top of the thread. What am I missing?
