Mick is the best but who would be next? Charlie thought Michael Jackson was up there for a while! Who would you want to see next in the on stage charisma stakes Don't like the music much but Freddie Mercury was always watchable. How about Bono? David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen (thats for you Gazza) John Lydon....
A frontman is a guy who's the front face of a band, so Michel Jackson doesn't count unless you like him in The Jackson Five. Other than that I'd say Bono, Bruce Springsteen (When he's with The E-Street Band), Freddie Mercury or Kurt Cobain. In Denmark it was Kim Larsen in Gasolin' no question.
Nowadays there is hardly anyone I could think of. The ONLY time I still get the rush today is when I am watching somone brand new, who still has the world ahead of him, who is wide awake and full of wonder, yet knows he is redhot. In other words someone who is on top of the world, and knows it, and the crowd knows it too, and they know that he knows that they know it. Serious. There has to be sex in there too. A real star MUST have sex apopeal. I was watching the Arcade Fire. A video from the first tour. And everything was on fire. They just knew how good they were, and they were so excited. The music was so good. The crowd was not only into the music but alos eberyone in the place knew they were witnessing something right. And when Bowie joined them for "Wake Up" he knew it too. He was all serious and stuff.

Yes James Brown of course. I am wondering when someone writes Paul Mccartney e.g How genuine is that? Forget for a minute that I personally don't get anyhting out of him - I just can not imagine how today someone can get excited from watchin Macca. We are talking about frontmen here; not their histoery of songwriting.
