okay charmer, Merle Fest was a blast.......I emailed you a review of the Elvis Costello concert Friday at the fest.....other highlights for me included Peter Rowan, Sam Bush, and Alison Kraus.....oh, and for you Dylan fans, Larry Campbell accompanied Elvis onstage. Elvis's first 6 songs included Red Shoes, Everyday I Write The Book, Veronica, and Alison......and for you Dead Heads, he did a great cover of Friend Of The Devil.

Very cool Lukester. Glad you had a good time. I would'nt mind hearing some of Elvis' warhorses. Alison is my favorite Elvis song.

Mine too ... IOW 9th/10th June

There is this nagging issue of 2 tickets for Gary Moore at the Shepherds Bush Empire on Friday 8th June. They turned up at home here, and I have absolutely NO recollection whatsoever of buying them ... especially as I really do not like Gary Moore. I have accused the more obvious suspects of having bought them for me, needless to say they have all furiously denied it !!

Maybe it's senility ? O dear. Sorry ... who did you say you were ............ ???

We both were.

For those who know us, you'll appreciate this, but the band going on earlier than expected, coupled with our penchant for tardiness resulted in us missing a fair portion of the show. It's unfortunate because they sounded GREAT.

I'll be looking for them when they pass through this way again, hoping for a full show.

The pissants do think that they are above an encore. Being late, a couple more songs would have been great!

Don't be sad Meg! They really were quite good, though getting big for their britches. When I get the time, I'm gonna check on-line and see if they typically go encore-less.

It's not really even the "encore" itself. Just give me at least 2 good hours of music and I'll feel you've treated me fairly.
