The last band I saw live was Los Lobos in a small club front center with my wife in Dec. 2019, and if I could pick just one band to see right here, right this minute, it would be Los Lobos again.

And as luck would have it...I have tickets for my wife and I to see Los Lobos at the Lobero Theater scheduled for October 7th....really hoping it happens.

Going to a sold-out Willie Nelson & Family show on Saturday. Never seen him before, though I have seen his similarly talented son before. Really looking forward to it, but will be my first massive concert with thousands in attendance of the COVID era. I'll be vaxxed and wearing a mask. Willie's music lends itself to weed edibles instead of beer anyway, so don't mind wearing the mask.

Eh...

The Rolling Stones at the New Orleans Jazz Fest... and then the last Sunday for Jimmy Buffett etc.

So... none for 2021. There was a possibility of seeing The Cult in November but that's been nixed as far as I know.

I haven't seen a gig with a ticket since Roger and Pete (The Who), February 14th 2020.
Saw two gigs on two separate nights and they were great. thumbs up

My next gig is at The Black Lion Pub in Surbiton on Sunday August 15th with the same lineup maybe as this video, or Peter Bruntnell and anyone of the various bandmates he knows, who are available on the day.

Looking forward to it anyway and hope the weather is gonna be OK and it will be out in the garden.

Will take a few videos, and whatever happens it's gonna be a good night.smileys with beer

Actually got two tickets in my hand as well as two of her latest CD's, for Imelda May on September 22nd.
The venue is Pryzm in Kingston, which is my home town.

Hoping one or two of her pals will be on stage as well, but Ronnie will be busy getting ready for the first gig of The Rolling Stones Tour. thumbs up

For 2022 I have tickets for The Killers and Elton John in Vancouver. Elton's 4th show in Van on his farewell tour. Did 3 shows at Rogers Arena in Sept 2019, I saw 2 of them. He's now coming back to play BC Place stadium next fall, concert is pretty much sold out.
I know The Killers are hugely popular in England, but they're not that popular here. They're playing Rogers Arena but just the lower bowl is being sold so perhaps 7000 total.

I've seen my first shows after about 17 months of nothing. A couple of weeks ago I saw The Marshall Tucker Band and then Dengue Fever.

Last night I saw Trampled By Turtles and Mt. Joy. I kept my mask on but I could count on a few fingers how many other people did.

Tonight it's The Black Crowes. I haven't seen them in a long time and I like album-themed shows.

Between new shows and rescheduled old ones, Aug-Nov have become pretty packed. I hope they all still happen.

Got two gigs coming up and first one for weeks.

Peter Bruntnell and one of his bands on this coming Thursday at The Cavern Pub, Raynes Park, SW London and another one with Pete and a different line up at The Oak pub in Kingston on Thames, Saturday night.

The Oak have just started having live music again, and hopefully will have many more gigs playing there in weeks and months to come.

This is a video I took from band where Pete and James Walbourne(The Pretenders), were in the lineup a month or two ago. thumbs up

I think James is busy now with Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders.

These two pubs are always great when they got live music on.smileys with beer

Saw Manic Street Preachers at Pryzm in Kingston last night for an acoustic gig with a 20 minute Q and A session before the music.

In effect it was Nicky the bass player answering the questions, and James the guitarist playing the acoustic guitar and vocals.

It was a really nice gig, and for £15 you get the gig and deluxe double CD, as they run out of the bog standard ones. thumbs up
Not surprisingly, there were plenty of fans from Wales, and other fans from all over the country.
Only took me half hour on the bus from Epsom, so if I see a good gig going from Banquet Records I try to get there.

Had a great view and here's a couple of videos. smileys with beer

My next concert is some so-called blues cover band you've probably never heard of: The Rolling Stones. (Tampa, October 29)

After that, I'm flying up to Philly to see Genesis on December 3.

(I would have seen the Stones at the Hard Rock show in November... only 25 min from my house, but prices are too rich for my blood. Just going to have to be content with driving 4 hours to Tampa with my lucky dips.)

You probably know they rescheduled the UK gigs to next March.

I know the O2 London shows were pushed to March 2022.
But I'm pretty sure the US dates are still going ahead as planned.

After all, Genesis just added an additional US show to their schedule this week (December 11 in Brooklyn.) So they must be pretty confident about the US tour, otherwise they wouldn't have just added that new show.

Is there a band playing there?

It's only an expert panel with discussions, quiz and sharing of anecdotes and stories, methinks.

Usually, there are some great prizes. For GHS I snatched the Superdeluxe cd-boxset smiling smiley

But never say never. For one of these parties Blondie showed up and played a set.

We'll see on Tuesday...
